FatLadySingz is about weight loss and diet programs. My goal is to lose 30 lbs in 6 months. I’m going to try a different diet program each month. I started on January 22 with Right Size Smoothies. This weight loss plan consists of 2 shakes per day. I do the shake for breakfast and lunch and then try and eat a well-balanced dinner. I think I’ll move on to Jenny Craig next month.

After the six months and 30 lbs are gone - I’ll review each of the diet programs. Of course, I’ll be reviewing them daily as I do them. My goal after completing the six months is to maintain the weight loss - something I’ve never been able to do. I can lose weight and God knows I can gain weight like no one else - but I have yet to actually maintain a healthy weight for any length of time.

    I was reading your blog, and I really have to say, your thoughts are inspirational. I too am trying to lose weight, and I feel your frustrations and successes!

    A company I recently stumbled upon, Simple Memory Art (www.SimpleMemoryArt.com), created a 50 Healthy Foods magnet set, which I recently purchased. It’s a really cool item actually — it’s a magnet set that lists the major food groups, has them color coded in rainbow-like colors, and tells you everything about the food — vitamins, calories, grams of fat, protein, etc. It’s REALLY helpful and it makes my fridge look happier too! I emailed the company to ask where they got the idea from, and apparently, her husband was the inspiration behind the set. He was dieting and trying weight watchers, and needed a little extra reference material when trying to pick up a snack or prepare a meal. So she was inspired to create the 50 Healthy Foods magnet set with him in mind.

    Anyway, I think it’s really neat, and thought I would share! I do so much of my shopping and etc online now, and I really do reference many ideas (movies, restaurants, etc) by reviews from other people, so I try to let people know if I find something that I think they also may be interested in :)

  6. Hi, Its so inspiration too to see that you have taken a proactive rolein getting your health back again. I totally agree that you should check each program out. But I am curous to ask why do you really want to do the program and then move onto another as it seems a real waste of time. I do not mean that you shouldn’t, what i mean is why not research each program against scientific research out on the four different diets and see what are the benefits of each diet in losing weight plus gaining optimum health from a wellness view.

    Some diets are neck to neck in the results of weight loss but when you actually look deeper at the ingredients used they use saturated fats and this could increase your blood cholestrol and increase the crease of heart disease.

    I too am trying to loose weight and have fallen 6 kgs in the last 12 days from 89.9kg to 83.6kg and my waist has gone from 104 to 95cm during that time. I plan to lose another 8kgs and at 75 I shall be pleased.

  7. 30 lbs in 6 months is achievable goal. My friend has lost 50 lbs in a year, it is about 25 lbs every 6 month. Good luck

  8. Truth, I agree with you. 30 lbs in 6 months is more than achievable! With proper training, nutrition and supplementation, it is very possible.

  9. My hat off to you. You will your blog a good way to keep you in check. I started mine a couple of years ago, then ignored :-) I began earnestly last September tracking my weight loss ups and downs. I try an post at least twice a week. i have been seeing a doctor that specializes in weight loss but basically he is big in counting calories and eating frequently, lots of protein, etc.
    I have hit MANY plateaus. I started in September and I have lost about 45 lbs. I still have about 75 more to lose.

    The doctor I am seeing aims for losing 1lbs a week so you are right on track with your goal of 30 lbs in 6 months!

  11. Everybody needs to lose weight nowadays and obesity is getting much a scarier epidemic. This article of yours will at least motivate a lot of obese to lose weight the soonest possible time. We would be expecting the results of your tests! Good luck! And by then, each and every obese people will know what kind of diet program they would like to use.
