I think I should review these frozen meals that have become a staple in my life as I try to lose weight for the upcoming summer season (as well as my health).
I’m going to start with breakfast. Lean Cuisine doesn’t really have any breakfast selections so, today I will review the few Weight Watchers or Smart Ones breakfast selections that I have tried.

The three that I have had are –
English Muffin Sandwich with Turkey Sausage
Pancakes with Turkey Sausage
Waffles with Turkey Sausage

The sandwich is very good for a frozen breakfast. I discard (or give to the pups, I should say) the egg. I don’t care for eggs and even the smell of this perfectly round, yellow circle tends to turn my stomach. But the dogs are so happy every time I microwave that sandwich. The English muffin gets warm but not over-done in the microwave; the cheese melts nicely and the turkey sausage is quite tasty. The sandwich – egg and all is 230 calories. I subtract the 30 calories for the egg and add that to the dogs calories. A great little sandwich for a mere 200 calories.

The pancakes and waffles with turkey sausage are fine. Really, they are the same except for the shape and the pancakes are 10 calories more. These breakfast entrees both come with a little packet of syrup. The sausage is just as good in the form of links as it is as a patty on the sandwich. The pancakes/waffles are a little bland, but overall they are fine and I do have them occasionally. My dogs don’t like them nearly as much because they don’t get any eggs! The pancakes come in at 280 calories and the waffles are 270 calories. This is higher in calories than I like to use on breakfast, but every now and then I like a ‘bigger’ breakfast.

That’s all for now.
Tomorrow – lunch!
