I’ve been eating the typical Mediterranean diet for almost four weeks now, and I can absolutely feel the results. I said I wasn’t going to continue to weigh myself, but that’s never going to happen. So, I got on the scale this morning and found that I lost 7 pounds since I started on August 20th 2010. I could definitely tell in my clothes. I’m able to wear things that I couldn’t have dreamed of wearing just one month ago.

The food is a big change for me – the girl who LOVES anything chocolate, ice cream, cheesecake and pizza. I no longer eat sugar, flour (except for whole wheat), most meats and dairy. I do eat more vegetables than I ever thought I would; lots of whole grain foods, lots of beans and humus – which I now LOVE.

I also take a bunch of supplement now too, all of which my doctor recommended. The supplements include Zinc, Vitamin E, Vessel Guard – which is high in Vitamin B and folic acid, Iodine, a multi-vitamin, fish oil (if I don’t have fish that day) and Vitamin C.

My one indulgence is Snapple Diet Lemon Tea.
