Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…
Down 4 Pounds
After two weeks of Weight Watchers, I’m down 4.2 lbs!
Next week I should receive accolades for having lost 5 lbs – if I do lose at least .8 lbs. I believe that is doable, but I am going out to dinner tonight and I may be going to a birthday party on Sunday, so we’ll see how much I lose.
I stayed for the meeting again, last night. I sat alone, but that gave me the opportunity to play Spider Solitaire on my Blackberry. My addiction has now spread to my cell phone. Technology is great!
I was still able to listen to the speaker – which was the point for me joining. The topic last night was how to survive going out to eat. This includes estimating portion size, asking the waiter/waitress to have the food prepared for a special diet, and knowing which foods are under the “SetPoints” – meaning you don’t have to worry about portion control.
It was all good, but I didn’t win any games!

Congratulations! That is great. I have tried WW twice, but my results weren’t that great. Of course, I didn’t stay the course for longer than 2 weeks. For some reason I was so hungry all the time.

Congrats! I believe in the point system for dieting. I have never been to a WW meeting but I have followed the point system on my own with success. I tried an experiment for the last two weeks where I ate only Smart Ones, Lean Cuisines and Healthy Choice frozen dinners for lunch and dinner. For breakfast I ate a bowl of oatmeal. I lost 8 pounds during the two weeks.
Good luck with your journey.

I’d hate to have to look at a menu and estimate all the “statistical” information about the food I’m going to eat, along with price and what it’s going to taste like. Good luck!

That’s great. How many more pounds do you want to lose? Can you imagine that those stupid Japanese women think that BMI of 19 is fat? I feel like hitting them on their heads to make them wake up

Hey there, an inspiring article to say the least. I am down 55 pounds, tried weight watchers, all sorts of diets, you name it.
Biggest thing I found that helped me was my will. When all else fails, that must remain – regardless of what is going on around you.
I wish you continued success, and strong will power
.
Best regards,

Thanks Pearl – I find that I’m either eating a healthful diet or not. I’m an all-or-nothing kind of girl – which is a serious problem. I believe that I have never really embraced the “healthy lifestyle” but I still see myself as being on a “diet”. This is probably why I don’t have much success.

Congrats, I am curious if you have heard of Max WLX it works with the hormone Leptin. It was designed to work with your body rather than at the expense of your body, retraining the leptin signals. It will help retrain your body to burn stored fat and regulate hunger sensations. Its great when someone has a leptin resistance and needs help to allow the brain and the stomach to communicate again.
Keep up the good work!

Weight Watchers seems to be one of the few good weight loss programs out there. It is because they are not forcing you to alter your entire eating routine. Weight Watchers just simply believes in limiting yourself, and eating healthy. I am glad that you are following through with your goals! You are doing great so far! Don’t forget that drinking plenty of water and exercising can really help you with your weight loss. If you want to lose that little bit of weight before your next appointment just ride your bike for a while and burn some calories!

Hey congratulations that is great! Going out to eat is a major challenge because often times restaurants include all kinds of butter, oil or salt when cooking even foods that sound healthy. I always ask to have my food grilled with little or no oil and it always tastes great! Too many people are shy to ask but it’s your body so you have the right to. Keep up the great work!
