Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…

I’ve Lost the Same 6 lbs 20 times this year…

I’ve been silent for some time now, and this may have something to do with what seems like the constant battle to lose weight. I was determined about one year ago that I was going to lose 25 lbs. I started out my journey, the same as every other time in the past - this should have been my first indication that failure was just around the corner. When I start, I’m very excited, eager to see the results and know that I’m going to feel so much better while eating right and when I take the weight off. But, I think my problem is starting. It was like a light bulb going off over my head - an epiphany, so to speak. It never really occurred to me before that I shouldn’t be “starting”. In my head I’m either “eating right” or not. I shouldn’t be starting to eat right, then eating right for a period of time, then after a deviation - stop eating right until I start again. But, it’s that one slip, one deviation that seems to give me an excuse to just STOP all together. It’s this mindset that is wrong and destructive. I need to wrap my head around this and move on.

  1. It’s really about not thinking of these things as diets (as you say) it’s about eating right or not eating right and it needs to be permanent.

Labeling things as diets etc makes them seems special/short term and you’re setting yourself up for a weight rebound.

  2. You should try eating under 100 calorie food portions. http://www.pro-thinspo.com/under100caloriefoods.html it has really helped me lose weight.

  3. Nice Blog, good info for all people

  4. This is true for many people I’m afraid. You expained it very well there I think. In my opinion losing weight is all about making lifestyle changes that you can really see yourself sticking too.

The best way to lose weight healthily and permanently is to eat better - permanently - and find something that you enjoy doing that involves physical activity.

Fad diet plans and slimming pills and potions never work in the long term.

    All the best,
    Linda

  5. I know what u mean. Its as bad for me. Have been doing the same with my last 4 kgs!

  6. Consuming healthy food, practicing and fasting are my way to keep the body weight. You’d better try too.

  7. hum it seems like you need help.. at least in terms of getting you committed to it. Where you too harsh on the diet?

  8. Losing weight can sometimes be depressing because at first you are very excited and then you lose the discipline because you think that its not doing any good. Just keep it up, there will be good results for you in the end.

  9. I can only say that I truly know how you feel. But don´t let it get to you too much. And I have to admit that your headline certainly gave me a little chuckle as well.

  10. Mindset is deff. a thing that contributes to losing weight. Best of luck to you on your weight journey =].

  11. Weight Loss is not an easy thing. It is great thing that you reduce your weight. This post is good.

  13. Try not to think that you are on a diet. Just as you said, it’s about eating right or not. In my experience, it’s harder to eat right in the beginning, but after a month or so, you start to feel so much better, it’s hard not to continue. Eating right is a life style change, not a diet plan. It’s all about the attitude.

  14. I’ve had similar feelings with family members who were eager to lose wait, however they are stumped on how to accomplish that.

  15. Congratulations :) Just keep going, you’ve worked so hard for this.

  16. Slimming: I think it can’t be said better as you have right there. I don’t have as much problem with eating better, finding physical activity that I would enjoy - well that might be a bit of a problem….

  17. I spent a few moments looking over your articles and your site, very well put together. I will be checking back often. Keep up the good work!

  18. You are very correct in that you should not “start” anything.
Healthy eating and regular exercise is the way to being fit…I know, easier said than done!
Just stick with it and all will be alright!

  19. Im in the same boat. I am always excited to start losing weight and working out and such. Then after about a month I decide I need to “cheat” and go have mexican food or skip one day of going to the gym. From that point on it is hard to get back in the swing.

  20. thanks for the lovely post

  21. That’s a very valid point you’re making. I think it’s similar with trying to stop smoking cigarettes. The one, first cigarette after a stop provides an excuse for the second, and third…

  23. I never think diet can play a important role in losing weight. But it does play a important role in gaining weight. That’s why it’s easier to gain weight than lose weight. So exercise ,exercise and exercise! If it still doen’t work, then keep on exercising !

  24. Thank you for being so open with your challenge. I found myself in the same boat and the only thing that worked for me was to increase my water intake to 10, 8 ounce glases of pure water a day until I got down to my desired weight. Now I just drink 8, 8 ounce glasses of pure water each day to keep it off. Incedentally I lost 32 pounds over the course of 3 months.

The real benefit is that now I have more energy and my back no longer hurts. The key to this is that the water I drink is filtered to remove chlorine and other harmfl chemicals.

Try it. It takes deliberate practice at first but after a week or two of making yourself drink enough water it becomes second nature.

  25. i have the same problem, I’ve started swimming 2 weeks ago, i hope this will make things better.

  26. hım.. thank you

    (ı am from turkey:))

  27. Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of presentation.

  28. for effectively following the diet plan, it is necessary to be consistant in your eating habits. It is not necessary to count calories, but you should become more educated about the foods you eat and how many calories they contain. You should begin to routinely check the nutrition label of the foods that your family is eating. You want to try and eat foods low in calories and also low in fat. Be careful of many low fat or ‘diet foods,’ as they can still be high in calories even though they are low in fat.

  29. well I must say that you must have strong will to lose weight. I lost about 5 KGs during the year and I wasn’t on diet - I was exercising.

  30. I agree with Linda’s comment above. “Dieting” is a mindset that’s destined to fail. The way it’s phrased “going on a diet” insinuates a temporary state, which leads to the same 6 lbs. problem.

For me, what has worked is smarter shopping. I found healthy food that I like, and I don’t purchase anything unhealthy to keep around the house. If it’s not there, you can’t eat it, and after a while you just don’t even think about it. I stopped eating sugary things and soda this way and I truthfully never have an urge for these things anymore. Combine that with a regular schedule of going to the gym and I’ve built a routine/lifestyle that works in the long term.

  31. Oh tell me about it. I’ve lost the same 5 pounds too many times. It just keeps finding it’s way back onto my hips.

  32. Gr8 post!!!! You expained it very well there I think. In my opinion losing weight is all about making lifestyle changes that you can really see yourself sticking too. Thanks for sharing.

  33. i once had trouble losing weight too but i found a great place for los angeles weight loss its a good place i do my hcg shots there they are amazing i have lost so much so quick.

  34. A lot of diet plans will tell you that its OK to indulge yourself once a week or once every two weeks. The reason for this is to prevent the situation you describe. Everyone has a moment of weakness that will overtake you if you deny yourself completely, the trick is to condition yourself psychologically so that the inevitable one bowl of ice cream does not turn into ice cream every day.

  35. If every person who wants to diet will change his head he can reduce how much weight he wants. I personally could take 30 lbs within a year. Change your perception and your life will change at the top!

  36. Find something competitive to do with a friend on your level. Go and play with him/her once per week. Then train for that game 4 days/week on your own. It is a great way to keep your interest and drive up naturally.

  37. I know when I first lost wait back in 2006 I had a running partner and it was fun to meet up at the local jogging trail. 3 years later I gained all the weight back. I will motivate you if you help motivate me. It helps I think to have someone cheerleading you on atleast I want that. My friend is starting to run again and hopefully me and him can motivate each other. Counting calories suck but, swimming, jogging around the block, or power walking with a neighbor is a fresh start. If you start exercising I will start jogging on the treadmill again. I actually remember how good it feels after cardio work out. I think you should start jogging tomorrow!

  38. Nice article. I will try it soon

  39. It is a decision and you need to make it with dedication. I have heard that the best way to slim down is to still go on diet but not to skip meals. And do exercise.

  40. Being boney is not all what it’s cracked up to be. Ever though of making a blog for skinny people like me/ Anyway nice blog keep up the good work.

  41. I totally agree with your conclusion Linda ! Good and healthy food is the beginning of loosing weight !

  42. I seem to have the same problem, except I’m going the other way. Weight gain seems to be just as hard as weight loss, if not harder.

Eating food just seems to be a full time job.

  43. eating the right food and doing some exercises are doing it for me

  44. Just thought I would toss this out there… but changing the nutritional habits is usually the hardest part above all else. So why not just change only a few things each month… and I mean small things.

Like for example, switch out white bread for whole wheat bread. And I’m talking just the bread when you eat it…. not pasta. But each month you make more changes and hopefully after 6 months or so… hopefully you’ll be changed and it will be much more of a habit.

In regards to finding activity that you enjoy… it does seem to be a motivation thing. Maybe stop working on finding an activity that you enjoy and work on some sort of motivation that can keep you going and get over the initial beginning which is usually the hardest part.

Mindset courses or give yourself some gifts for sticking with an activity for a week and then two weeks…

  45. Interesting points. Well, the thing is this. It’s not difficult to lose weight. As a matter of afact, it’s very easy. The hard part is to STAY slim.

A lot of people will manage to get slim, but after a while, they’ll start to eat a lot and get fat again….

  46. It is terribly tempting to “reward” ourselves when we lose weight. The reward can quickly become a detriment. I think you’re on the right track by reminding yourself that it is a healthy lifestyle, not a prohibition. It’s what you CAN have, not what you CAN’T have that is important. You CAN have a healthy lifestyle!

  47. Hey there, thanks for a great blog and post, i lost about 21 lbs in 9 months.

  48. Nice and informative new tips are just great keep it up.

  49. i think one of the reason behind such problems is consumption of unhealthy herbs, best way to loose weight is to go naturally, perfect diet, exercise, and organic herbs will surely help you to wrap this up soon, all the best.

  50. I agree with slimming. I am a chiropractor in Reno and I tell my patients that struggle with weight loss issues the same thing. Start first with a sound nutritional plan. You can talk to a dietitian, personal trainer, or a chiropractor that instructs their patients on weight loss and nutrition. Once you have this mastered try to find an activity you enjoy and go do it. It’s easier sticking with a fun hobby than to a gym membership you won’t use. Get a dog and take it for a walk each day, play tennis or racket ball, go swimming at your local pool, find some trails around town and go for a bike ride, etc. Just find some things you love to do and get out there. Hope this helps a little.

  51. This sounds like a common problem for most people.

I definitely subscribe to the long-term approach of eating less, but not dieting. I think people develop cravings when they diet and those are hard to overcome.

I’ve lost about 1/2-1 pound a month by eating less, and moving more. And I try to eat chocolate every day…and not diet chocolate, or anything like that, either.

  52. like Linda said, fad diets dont work. its got to be a lifestyle thing.

  53. Losing weight is a struggle. No one is exempted from these difficulties. Just hold on and find something you really enjoy, rather than starting something that, instead of helping you, would traumatize you from physical activities.

  54. I have this problem also;however, the last 8 months I took off 30 pounds and kept it off. I think it is important to remember that what your doing/want isn’t a diet but a lifestyle change.

  55. It is not so easy to loose such a great amount of weight in quick succession of time. People take years and years to loose weight and maintain a fit and sound body.

  56. I always opt for a natural remedy if at all possible. Consume less calories, (less than you burn) and exersise more. You will lose weight, but you have to make some changes permenant or you could (as you found out) gain it right back.

  57. the harder it is always the beginning, you have to have strong will power and not be expecting immediate results, as if that thought so let’s give up in the end of the second week. Slowly does it far and it requires patience. Strength to everyone who is trying to lose weight

  58. with the right attitude and mind set. you won’t have any problem losing weight. yeah. most pills and lotions only work for short term.

  59. Good post, I however disagree (an honest disagreement) with the bolding and attempt to highlight words. Your comments should not be so long that you need to highlight certain sections, short and sweet are best.

  60. “I found a good site to get guides and bots for Mafia Wars. “

  61. physical activity just not enough, it should be restraint in the mouth, because weight loss is just be careful with alimentation

  62. in a way you provide encouragement for all dieters, because its inevitable that people are going to face certain challenges and hurdles.
in a way sharing in these hurdles is encouragement for all.

  63. I think eating the right way is so much better than do hard exercise. I agree with Linda. but to lose weight, we have to change eating habit a little bit. Don’t change it dramatically.

  64. I thought I was the only one that plays hide and seek with the extra padding around my hips and thighs.

  65. Hi Lizzie..
Lotsa people have that same ‘excuse’, but don’t get it to your head will ya? :)
    Wish you good luck!

  66. Maintaining weight loss is a full time job, I think we need a very well balance of food , exercise, sleep, entertainment. It is hard to find a physical activity that we enjoy but just walking to depanneur instead of taking the car. Using the stairs in subways , are all physical activities that help.

It does not need to be a sport, an activity is anything getting my b……. off the couch

  67. I jave the same problem, also with procastination. It’s hard do start but when I’m dong it, I don’t feel that bad. Anyway I wish you good luck.

  68. hope can slim without exercise

  69. Just physical activity its not enough, when it comes to weight loss, diet is the most important to keep in mind. The exercise only serves to burn calories that are ingested through what we eat

  70. But what you’re thinking of doing is not healthy. I think there are more healthier ways to get a slimmer body.

  71. Yep, I agree.
Some physical activity, can burn much more calories that “right” nutrition.
Just do lots of exercises every day and try to avoid carbohydrates - and you will be fine.

  72. How about trying a different approach? When I started working out, I didn’t change my eating habits. Then I noticed I wasn’t losing any weight, so I started to change my diet and 1wk later 10lbs dropped off. I say first get in a workout routine, then change your eating habits. See how that works for you. Best of Luck!

  73. bhalo laglo ata pore bah ki sundor

  74. I think you hit the nail on the head.

Losing weight is not about starting and stopping fad diets, it is about a consistent diet of “eating right”. In one of your other posts you wonder whether overweight people may have obsessive compulsive disorders. I’m not sure, but I don’t see why, if it is true, eating right could not also become something to obsess about.

I think a balanced diet, a commitment to yourself, and setting realistic goals is the key to staying in shape, gradual consistent weight loss will last alot longer than sporadic fad diets and attempts.

  75. wow , that’s great , i think a have to go on a diet too , and this is very encouraging

  76. It’s easier said than done though hunny. I’ve been battling with my weight like you have for nearly 15 years.

  77. I find working out as much as possible is the best way. It can be a bit repetitive though so you have to find different routines or ways to keep the workout a bit more interesting.

  78. You are absolutely right. It isn’t a matter of starting but a matter of how much healthy food you eat on a regular basis. The more healthy eating habits you have for longer periods of time the more you are going to get in shape and stay fit.

If you are trying to lose weight you should also exercise. that way you are sure to accelerate your results and diminish your chances of ever getting fat again. Exercising has many benefits.

  79. Hey…
    Interesting…

But for me, normal physical activity works great. I do my day to day work at home on my own and it helps me lot..

    anyways nice post.
    keep posting..

  80. I think one of the most difficult things to do is to realize that the one splurge we have (or binge, or failure of discipline, or whatever you want to call it) is not a necessary cause for giving up on eating well completely. Many people seem to feel that if they slip up once, then they might as well never try again.

The key to success is to understand that no matter how many times you falter, you can continue toward your goals.

  81. Lizzie,

It sounds like you need to add a serious exercise plan. You seem motivated, just put forth the effort and you be pleaseantly surprised at what you can accomplish. I will be rooting for you.

  82. I yo-yo some too, and it can be frustrating, but I learned a weight loss secret from my dad - never buy a larger size pair of jeans. It’s amazing how well it works. If my clothes start feeling tight, I’ll eat less, otherwise I’ll eat what I want. Wearing tight clothes feels so disgusting that it only takes a few weeks (or even days) to get back down to my target weight.

  83. I’ve Lost the Same 6 lbs 20 times this year…:)) thanks

  84. Did you ever look at Racquetball or your local town for activities you would enjoy? I never knew it but they have an adult volleyball league that I can join in and participate in without really feeling too competetive. We also get a great workout!

(Long time reader, 1st time poster)

  85. yes of course even i have faced the same problem few years back ,i did everything right but what happen why i am not getting result these are flying my mind always , suddenly one day one of my friend came to my home and she said only dieting will not help you even the physical activity also with our proper consultation so she advised me go to YOGA , and u dont believe i got the result with in 6 months , so plz go to yoga and learn it from professional and even they will give diet advice also.

    All the best

  86. Believe me losing weight is not the easiest thing to do; it seems that many people who venture to lose weight start off strong and then when they notice that it takes longer than they thought they tend to lose their excitement. I wish you the best on your weight loss journey..

  87. It’s funny, but I work with a lot of brides that are in the midst of planning their wedding and attempting to lose weight. Of course, this is a happy time and most are focused on shorter-term weight loss to look good in their dress and for photos. However in my experience, I’ve found that if I need to focus on long-term weight loss, I must focus on all the things around me that may derail my efforts before starting. To your point, it’s not just starting but long-term planning. Therefore I need to minimize the likelihood that I’ll fall off the wagon by trying to prevent temptations that will lead me back to bad behavior.

  88. Thank you for the post

  89. That is my problem, only my lose is 3 and my gain is 5

  90. But I’m still trying

  91. Thanks for sharing your experience, Lizzie. The best thing is you live more healthy, having better shape is a bonus.

  92. I found that what was making me put the weight back on was my smoking habit. Once I kicked that, the weight started to come off alot easier.

  93. That’s Too Funny!! I love the Title of this article!

  94. Losing weight is all about making lifestyle changes that you can really see yourself sticking too. It shapes your body as well as ur appearance. It affects your personality.

  95. i’ve been thru what you just said and im proud to say that i’ve lost loads of weight and have come to being fit and healthy…

You actaully need a weight loss program to keep your motivation levels high…

Keep trying and remember persistence pays off

    Cheers

  96. I have lost about 30 pounds the last year and i feel a lot better now.

  97. Congratulations on the loss. I think for most the problem is will power to actually excercise and stop eating junk/comfort foods. It’s easy to select a physical activity you like but to stick with it takes tremendous will power to change one’s own lifestyle.

  98. That’s a great way to look at losing weight, as a lifestyle change instead of something that has a start and/or end. Don’t give up when you have a setback, just try to figure out why you slipped, and keep moving forward. If you dwell on it, you’re going to get stuck on it.

  99. nice informative post weight loss which will be more helpful for my girlfriend

  100. Losing weight is so difficult; at least for me. It seems like I am always starting and restarting to try to lose weight.

  101. totally agree with linda.
adding physical activities to your schedule is quite helpful, as long as you manage to do it regularly - that is the key.
one of my best experiences: cutting back on booze

  102. Hey Lizzie,
I feel your pain. My whole life has been a roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain. The thing that really helped me the most was finding something that I really like doing. It sounds simple and almost stupid, but I find that when I exercise, my desire to eat better just falls in line. otherwise, I just get on this cycle of laziness with eating, exercise and other areas of my life are affected as well.

  103. When we talk about fat burn and lose weight, then we have talk about physical activity, that sometimes is not enough, to help you lose some pounds exist the xenadrine rfa 1, is stronger but it help a lot.

  104. stop dreaming start action, it would be good for you. It easier to say than do it as well, but keep in mind to always stay positive thinking about anything…

  105. You are of course able to join hundreds scheme to lose your weight. But if it doesn’t come from your heart it’s just useless. I think the natural way is better than use some chemical one. But it’s your choice. Actually, losing your weight is not difficut as imagine.

  106. Good luck for your losing weight…

  107. Nice article! Thumbs up.

  108. I also reduced my wait 5kg within 2 months by running daily morning. But now it also increase now agian

  109. never get tired, focus on your target. you can eventually make it.

  110. I’m thinking of doing a time laps video to track my progress. i’m thinking it will help me hold myself accountable. hope it works.

  111. Great post,I must say the journey has to start somewhere. Dieting is hard enough without having to jump through hoops to try a product. Some of these products say it’s free but it is so hard to try without being billed monthly for their products. Also if you don’t detoxify your system first you don’t see the results. I did find a good free product though at http://bit.ly/3AggdS

  112. I couldn’t agree more, you have summed. It really isn’t about the latest hottest diet etc. It is all about the mind set you take into it.

Slimming - Is spot on about eating right, with a some physical activity. It is also important to make it simple and easy, so you can ease your way into the change and then adopted it as a new way of life.

Weight loss really shouldn’t be that complicated, but why dos the industry make it seem that way….?

  113. I think the information presented will be useful to many people a lot. That’s a good effort you have put on the network through your blog. I appriciate your work.

  114. I agree with you, I’ve been addicted to eat

  115. You hit the nail on the head. The whole idea of “I’m on a diet” is faulty and is the fundamental indicator of failure. This phrase assumes that eating healthy is a temporary undertaking and the weight loss attempt becomes just that - temporary. The right frame of mind should be “I’m eating right from now on.” Although it is good to have milestones, such as to lose a certain amount of weight, but one should be careful that once that milestone is reached that eating right doesn’t stop. If one decides to eat right from now, there is no need to set milestones. The weight-loss will come naturally over time without even thinking about it. I wish you the best of luck on your journey to reach an optimal weight.

  116. Good luck on your quest for weight loss. Remember to always have a positive attitude in everything you do. Regards.

  117. As with most things, mindset is crucial to success. It’s easier said than done you are not alone in your struggle.
    Keep up the good fight..

  118. Losing weight takes a lot of time and effort. You should not stop until you reach our desire weight. And still, do not stop when you reach there. Being physically fit and slim is a continues process.

For me, I realize that my belly is getting bigger each time I see myself in the mirror. So now I start on minimizing my eating of carbohydrate foods.

Good luck on your quest for slimnity! hehe..

  119. lot of person is surfing this problem but i want to gain fat but can’t because i can’t eat much all days. ha ha ha anyway i am slim so all girl say to me for go to bed alonelol. fat is very big problem so we should keep awar from childhood. your blog is very big helpful.

  120. You make good points on your blog about weight loss, the things people go through etc. Keep up the great work!

  121. This is all true I guess for the rest of us who are striving to work it out. Slimming down has been a battle for me after I gave birth. Its because I never seem to be on a constant work plan. With your post, I am encouraged to work on it again since others like me also strive harder.

  122. I agree with Slimming on this. It’s as much as a lifestyle change than just plain dieting and working out. But it’s easier to said than done.

  123. Love it Love it. There are so many people with this same problem. I think we have all said that the eating right and workouts starts tomorrow. When is that tomorrow?? Only we can answer that question. I will tell you my answer tomorrow is today. If you mess up once do not give up. It is a lifestyle change that takes more than a few months. Cause we all know it took more than a few months to get here!!!

  124. Weight loss is hard but nothing beats good determination, good luck! :)

  125. The physical activity is my problem as well. I don’t mind counting calories but getting my butt off the chair is a different issue.

  126. Slimming: I think it can’t be said better as you have right there. I don’t have as much problem with eating better, finding physical activity that I would enjoy - well that might be a bit of a problem….

  127. Hi I like your blog you write good and informational articles Keep up the good work! :)

  128. It’s kind of like the Texas Hold ‘Em poker analogy - going “all in.” I’ve struggled with this for 25 years. Either all-in, or all-out. Dieting perfectly, or not at all. The only way I have ever made consistent progress is through consistent exercise. Even when I’m not dieting properly, just keep walking every day, or every other day. It helps me stay on track anyway. Just thought I’d share my experience as well.

  129. Somehow there’s a need to get it in one’s head that they actually are a healthy living person…….to actual think of yourself that way and act the part. It has more of chance of continuity than “starting”, then stopping.

  130. It’s a lot like my efforts to stop smoking. I could set stop dates and do it for a while, but then start again. Once I started thinking like a non-smoker, it was easy for me to stay away from cigarettes. I think healthy, I live healthy.

  131. @lizzie: I think it’s good that you are taking the efforts in starting out. You might want to set automatic reminders for yourself on a periodic basis to remind you about continuing the diet and exercise regime.

  132. There were umpteen times I followed the same regime as yours. Plan once, try once, execute once, hate the plan, revise the plan to make myself comfortable(too comfortable, some times).

But, later on moved to hit the gym regularly and follow the nutritionist’s advice quite seriously and I have felt the change within three months of it.

  133. I find that I have to plan my meals and enjoy what I eat if I am going to eat right. I have lost 45 pounds in the last year and attribute a good deal of that success to eating smoothies for breakfast most days. You can engineer them to have whatever mix of fat, carbohydrates, and protein you want.

  134. Thanks for sharing this great article. I personally am having trouble staying in shape too till I quit some nasty habits of mine like drinking and smoking. Exercise is still the best and proven way to lose weight together with a healthy diet.

  135. Incredible information about weight loss and I am sure people must have get impressed with this post.

  136. That’s why I think it’s such a big head game as much as anything else. If you’ve been through so many diets, maybe the problem isn’t the diet. I don’t know - I’ve been through my share, myself. Julian

  137. I feel your pain. I went through a similar peroiod of about 3 years where I would diet and lose weight just to gain it back again. The same 20lbs over and over again. It was not until I changed my bad eating habits ( and I had more than 1) permanently, then I was able to keeo the weight off for good.

  138. Lifestyle changes is definitely key to losing weight because you can just start then stop. You have to start and stay that way forever. I tend to do the start and stop thing often but find I do best if I start out little and take baby steps ie adding a sald to my menu twice a week, scooping more veggies on to my platter, eating deserets that are smaller, etc.

  139. You should sign up for some event like a 3k or 5k, it will keep you motivated constantly because you have a physical goal and not only a visible (looks) goal,

  140. Slimming certainly has it right. Losing weight requires a complete lifestyle change. Diets only work to yoyo you but doesn’t create any permanent change.

  141. Losing weight is not very easy. Even there are some drinks and medicine that says lose fat in 30 days or whatsoever will be ineffective, unless you will do exercise. Losing weight involves discipline.

  142. ovw very thanks baby

  143. For such positions should be useful to give awards at full serious!

  144. The key is in finding your legacy. You have to live for something greater than yourself to find the motivation every single day to succeed. When you find that, everything falls into place. Love & Qi.

  145. Slimming pills would be of real help and if people do exercise than the results will be awesome. The post will be of great help to fat people.

  146. Good blog Thanks for information

  147. That’s really a good achievement. cgs to you!!!

  148. Most of the true for numerous public we are vary lucky. Explicated it most well there I imagine. This is my sentiment losing weight is all approximately constructing modus vivendi varies that you can in truth see yourself clinging too. So we are tried to use it.

  149. For sure all above is true. Rather than eating less I became more active person, doing more things, going around and by that I lost a lot of weight. It will work for anyone who tries it.

  150. finding physical activity that I would enjoy - well that might be a bit of a problem….

  151. I do a lot of physical activity I just need to start eating healthier.

  152. Wow, that’s great! Congratulation then. I still fight to reduce my fat right now, i hope can achieve the same results as yours.

  153. The best way to lose weight healthily and permanently is to eat better - permanently - and find something that you enjoy doing that involves physical activity.

  154. I think that eating is not the problem we must workout also to reduce the fat level. Eat lots of fruits and salad that make you gorgeous and slim.

  155. Lovely, good post. I just bumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way, I will be signing up to receive your feed and I hope you post very soon.

  156. Oh, I’ve always wanted to lose weight, but with a variety of methods are useless, also broke his own stomach all. Now stomach has been bad! I think the weight loss was necessary to scientifically Otherwise will really regret it oh

  157. I very much agree with your point of view

  158. Fad diet plans and slimming pills and potions never work in the long term.

  159. I think that proper motivation is the key to solve this problem.

    Wish good luck,

    Trisha

  160. After trying for a bit to find some information on healthy eating and how best to start slimming down a bit and get in shape I came across your blog. Great post it hit the nail on the head, I find that for some strange reason it becomes a chor to eat properly when I guess really eating decently is no different to eating crap!

  161. To be healthy is a more appropriate goal than to be slim. I’m glad that you realize that you need also with your mindset. Having clear goal is a must before starting any activities. Moreover, your goal is to be healthy…to eat the right kind of food than not eating at all. I know you can achieve a healthy and desirable body in the future:)

  162. Take a walk through a favorite place. One half hour of moderately paced walking will burn 450 calories - and make you feel great. Make sure that you’re wearing comfortable shoes, and pick a venue you enjoy. Try a walk around the lake, up and down the block or around the mall - your body doesn’t know the difference.

    Last, drink alot of water

  163. thank for sharing actually losing weight without losing health is important.

  164. My goal right now is around 25 pounds too. One day I checked my weight after not caring about it for so long. To my surprise I have gained like 30 pounds since the beginning of this year! I’m eating less now.. but I’m still eating junk.. I exercise a little bit but need to be doing it more.. I seriously need to get my priorities straight or i’m gonna get fat!

  165. Great post I’m 16 years old. 4′10 & 115 lbs- ridiculously short AND fat. I really need to lose 20 lbs in the next month or so for a special occasion.thanks a lot.

  166. I lost 25 kg in 2 years ,but once I reach the target I fill I have to gain again. Now I want to eat more and more.

  167. Best Paid to Clicks Sites! Best Traffic Exchanges, Trusted PTC Sites, Top PTC Sites, Make Money EASY every day!

  168. Yea it’s amazing how quickly results can come once you just stick to the basics and just take action every day.

  169. What kind of exercising are you doing? My friend does this yoga called YRG workout and it burns a lot of fat. Diet alone is not enough.

  170. I wish good luck:) and I are about the same way as you …

  171. Havign recently lost 2 stone i know how difficult weight loss can be. I set a date in mind and then i set myself achievable goals like i will stick with this for a day, then a week then a month. After two weeks of dieting i had more energy and wasn’t so tired so i started the gym and am loving it. Not to say that some days i don’t feel like saying no ill stay on the settee but i know how good i feel after it so that gives me the biggest motivation.

  172. Loosing weight is all about self control and good diet, i think :)

  173. Great blog. Inspiring me to loose my weight :)

  174. Eating less is not a solution for losing weight. Having “fat-free diet” alongwith the right phisical exercises can be much effective instead. :-)

  175. Eating less is not a solution for losing weight. Having “fat-free diet” along with the right physical exercises can be much effective instead. :-)

  176. Hi, interesting blog you have here. We invite you to share it with others by listing it in our Blog Directory

  177. this is the kind of articles that give you courage to go on a diet , thank you

  178. I’ve been reading a lot about this lately and I agree, it all starts in your mind. It’s hard at first, but, soon, you slowly learn how to control your hunger pains. Once you can control your hunger pains, eating less becomes easier.

  179. This is way too funny (well, sort of). I am in the exact same position as you, AND I wrote an almost identical post earlier today. We can come up with a lot of reasons why we don’t lose weight or get in shape. As you elude to, it all boils down to ourselves. WE are the reason. It’s all about finally digging out the root of the problem, and facing that problem head-on. It’s simply a lifestyle change that we have to want bad enough.

Be strong, and just dooz it!

  180. That is my great dream!

  181. I think, it is a good achievement. Slimming is great problem.

  182. very excellent post and very needed information to people

  183. I know the feeling. I`m too fond of eating out and let`s face it when you go out for a meal you aren`t going to keep to healthy eating are you?

  184. Wow, is that true? I’m trying very hard to lose my weight…

  185. Dear Lizzie,

I just visited your blog. I have to say that I was very impressed by what I saw. Congratulations on developing an attractive, professional and informative blog site.

I am the webmaster at www.slimyx.com. Slimyx.com is a web based program that helps people to lose weight in 3 easy steps. I wish to ask a favor of you, to review the website/program and share your impressions with your visitors as well as with us.

  186. sliming: Keep healthy and slim are all important. An active life will be quite useful to keep fit. At night, I love to have a walk with a laser pointer in hand, and i will never feel boring with such lively gadgets.

  187. Well nice story, eating less has a much greater impact than phiscial activities in my experience.

  188. Hey, a lot of people struggle with this! You’re not alone. I wish you luck.

  189. I also need to lose 25 pounds… Hehe.

I can get started but I can never keep going. Maybe for like a week or 2 I’ll diet and exercise… But I set my goal to start jogging a mile every single day starting… TOMORROW?! haha. And dieting. I need to lose at least 20 by February!

  190. Its really a tough job to loose weight, but the toughest is to change ones lifestyle to get desired results in stipulated time frame. So, in order to achieve great results one must be disciplined and tough from mind.

  191. Have you though that maybe you are starting something that is not possible to sustain over a long period of time and as such you loose interest. Maybe the answer is to try a plan that has a slight change in lifestyle that is manageable where you still get to seat some of the things you enjoy in small quantities. You also need to find a sporting/physical activity that you will enjoy doing and again slowly work yourself up to the number of days you participate.

  192. Slimming: I think this is not the major problem for us………if we do yoga automatically weight will decrease….

  193. As someone who finds he loses and then puts the weight straight back on again, I know how difficult dieting can be and I would like to wish you the best of luck with your attempts. :)

  194. It’s like the old joke: Quit smoking is easy.. I did it a lot of times.

  195. Sometimes starting something is the easiest part, but sustaining the motivation to keep going in the long run is very difficult. I haven’t been exercising regularly but I’ve wanted to…. so 2 days ago I started. I’m really enjoying it and I have a lot of motivation right now but I am scared that this won’t last long.

  196. Most of us have the same problem, even if it’s not necessarily related to weight loss. I have done the same thing with quitting smoking last year. I quit up smoking every month :P

  197. My diet is absolutely awful, but i’ve found that they make it more expensive to eat well…its really hard in our society to stay in shape and be healthy.

  198. I’ve been trying to lose weight since forever.. tried different diet plans, cutting sugar and carbs.. also exercising and now i’m currently doing the slim without gym diet.. all in all i’ve only lost 30 pounds within the last 2 years.. so sad.. this diet sounds really fun and its something I could actually do because i love eating fruits haha!

  199. I´m posting comments but does not work

  200. Interesting! Thats pretty cool! You don’t mind if I come here more often and read your posts do you? I love to blog but only on good subjects. Like this one for instance! Can’t wait till you post something else.

  203. I am a chef, certified personal trainer and a mom. I have discovered that the mindset regarding eating is the most important thing, not necessarily the diet methods that don’t fit you. I discovered this when trying to
get my toddler to eat and wrote a book about it - Diet Secrets of A Toddler, By Laura Andolini. It is on my website if you are interested. www.cooking-for-fitness.com , or amazon.com. I hope you enjoy it!

  205. Don’t give up. We all slip up now and then. Develop a positive attitude that will help you to reach your goals and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to make huge changes.

  206. Without a doubt its all about calories in vs calories out. Bottom line is you have to eat right and exercise. You dont have to go crazy and over do it but you still need to get up, get outside and move around. Watch what you eat, only eat when hungry and do not stuff yourself.

  207. Lucky if you loose the weight so quickly..

  212. Good point. It all depends on your lifestyle, and on stuff you eat. As slimming said, the best way to lose weight is to permanently change the things you eat.

  217. I conceive it can’t be said meliorate as you have right there. I don’t have as much problem with eating better, uncovering physical activity that I would enjoy - well that might be a bit of a problem….

  220. This is so true! Instead of telling yourself your going on a diet, tell yourself you going to switch to eating healthy. Instead of telling yourself your going to start hitting the gym 7 days a week, tell yourself your going to start working exercise into your life on more regular basis. By changing your menatlity you’ll find it easier to meet you goals.

  221. The most difficult part is focus, we don’t have to force to much to eat healthy and stuff.. just focus on the portion

  222. Thank you very much for your information. It was a great help.

  223. Very useful article.. Many of our friends lost hundred or maybe thousands of money..but didn’t get the weight as they want and they are getting bigger and bigger.. the only thing that getting thin is only their check book.. But i finally found what make us fat.. and i wanna share it here..

  227. Ahahaha!

Im sorry to laught, but I have done the same thing. I install windows for http://www.rockstarautoglass.com and it “kindof” helps me lose weight every now and then.

Really just comes down to diet ;)

    good Luck!!!

  228. I have lost 30 lbs in the last 5 months and trust me it has not been easy. My biggest problem is that have no self control. I am on the road all day going from appointment to appointment and i cannot resist the temptation of that fast food. So here was my solution. I now pack my healthy lunch with my healthy snacks and i don’ t bring any money or credit cards with me to work so i have no way to pay for the nasty fast food. I have also gotten rid of all the junk food in the house. If my wife or kids want fast food i make them go eat it at the fast food place. I also give myself one day to “cheat”. My “cheat day” is usually on sundays which is also my “lazy lay around and watch football day”. My Sunday snacks i usually go buy on Sunday morning and if i don’t finish them i throw the rest out so i am not tempted during the other days to cheat. I have also been hitting the weights a little and jogging not running on the treadmill. My workouts last no longer than a half hour. In the past i have tried working out hard and eating whatever i want but have never really lost alot of weight. The best approach is also the oldest approach and that is to combine a healthy diet with moderate exercise and the lbs will peel off soon. Good luck!

  229. Another problem is that people think they need to enjoy physical activity. Just get on the elliptical machine, treadmill, or bike and get it over with every day. The problem is people think too much about it instead of just stopping their inner child from crying about not wanting to do it, and just getting it down.

Next time you think about exercise, don’t think about why you should or shouldn’t do it, don’t think about how long you have to do it, don’t think about anything other than if your iPod is charged up or find a magazine to pass the time. Get used to it and it will get easier, but it’s never fun.

  230. I’m glad you did, you sure deserve it. Awesome job.great post thanks.

  231. I know what you mean. I have been trying to loose that last 10lbs. and I feel like I am losing something, but I keep fluxuating.

  232. I know what your going through, I myself am on a quest to get back in shape. I need to lose more than 50 pounds. I say more than 50 pounds because i really dont know how much i need to lose.

Well i started my diet in Aug. 2009 and i have already lost more than 30 pounds. I went off the diet during thanksgiving and still managed to not gain any weight. I am not sure why it just happen that way.

What has kept me on my diet and motivated me believe it or not was making a video diet diary. Because with out that i would have quit. You see when i look in the mirror it doesn’t look like i lost any weight but when i look at my newest video and compare it to my beginning video i can tell a big difference.

motivation can be found in the oddest ways.

  233. Are you so fat?

  234. please remember, for eat healty food… :D

  235. You have very correctly mentioned that the most difficult part is to start . My friend is having the same problem , he wants to lose the extra weight but not able to start. Now I have found this great post and I will be forwarding it to him for reading and taking inspiration. Thanks for the post.

  236. thanks for the great diet tips! i know they will help me lose weight!

  237. Yes i lose a few pounds, then lose the will to continue the exercising which seems to be only way i can lose weight and weight gets put back on. Then the will to lose it returns and the same happens again and again……good luck lizzie maybe in 2010 it will be the year it stays off for both of us.

  238. I also lose 5lbs last 2 months. I just followed this diet:
I only eat wheat bread for breakfast, only 2 loaves. Then my lunch would be pasta, a small serving, it’s ok as long as my stomach will ease the “hungriness”. The at night I only eat a meal with no rice, only the viand. Then I lose 5lbs! This is real!

  239. Very inspirational article. I need to lose weight.

  240. Most people know that to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. This is done with a combination of diet and exercise. Sounds simple, right?

What many don’t know is that there is a third ingredient which holds it all together. That is your mindset. Without a proper mindset, diet and exercise mean nothing.

Sure, the fast weight loss diets out there can help you lose weight quickly, but few even mention the psychological factors involved in keeping it off.

  241. I have lost around 20kilos (i am from germany, dont know how many pounds) this year.. mostly with metabolic balance and biking!!

  242. Im in the same boat with you im afraid, I was down to 188 from 204 and during the holidays I slipped and went right back to 204, the thing is your body has programmed itself to a certain weight, and if you do not stay active and keep the weight off for an extended period of time, it will not reprogram itself. But Now im @ 190 and still going, Im doing it right this time eating healthy and just excersizing when ever I get to it, not forcing things, just staying relaxed. let me know if you need any help.

  243. its all about chaning your whole life routine in terms of eating and excecise not about short term gain.

  244. The various research reports tend to say that all the diets actually work because for the time your on them you think about what you are eating and make sure you don’t over eat while you are dieting.

So it doesn’t matter which diet you go on, if you want to lose weight, because the discipline of keeping to the diet is more important than the type of diet - apart from the really nasty ones that make you drink lemon juice or something equally horrible at least 10 times a day. That’s enough to put anyone off eating.

So could it be that its the way of life that causes us to regain the weight? We crave foods high in sugar, fat and salt and don’t the marketing people just know it. Everywhere you go it’s ‘do you want cheese with that’, or ‘more sauce’ or ‘do you want more sugar with that?’

My preference is the Mediterranean Diet because it’s been researched heavily and all the research says its the way to go. It’s low in red meat and high on natural ingredients. Better still, its the kind of diet you don’t know you’re on because its more of a lifestyle way of eating as opposed to a temporary change of habit for a month. http://www.mediterraneandiet.tv/ take a look.

  245. I want to know more about get fat lost

  246. I agree with this :

“… losing weight is all about making lifestyle changes that you can really see yourself sticking too..”

  247. youve have hit the perenial problem of slipping bk after youve done the original diet. its sooo hard i know stick with it.

  248. Slimming is not the foremost desire of mine. I am even more slim and want to be a little bit heavy now.

  249. Good article. i have a bulky body and not in a good shape i dont know what i have to do?

  250. I think that the key is to follow a well-balanced diet everyday. To be constant is very important.

And never forget: Avoid fast food!! Thats not good for our health.

    You can do it!

  251. i rally stopped trying to loose fats. i am a man so it is may be easier for me to live with it but i am also a dentist and as a dental care professional my work is almost physical so i have a little back pains as a result to extra wight. i tried another philosophy i just trying to play more sports without concentrating on the no of kilos so i feel better without living the depression of diet and so. may be females will have another opinion but i think my solution is good for me

  252. You just have to be consistent with it and be patient.

  253. Most people overeat out of habit, and it’s easy to put the weight back on. I use several tips to reduce my portion sizes. I put down my fork after every mouthful. This forces me to concentrate on finishing that mouthful at a leisurely pace.

I eat from smaller plates. Most people have a dinner plate size when all they need is a serving plate size.

And I serve my food in the kitchen rather than the table. That means I won’t be forced to get up for second helpings… and that’s a good thing.

  254. After lossing your weight you will be feel much better than your previous life. Now you are more active from your past.

YOu can wear any designer dresses and can do any work which was not possible for your in past.

  255. This new may spread through twitter so every guy will take its benefit as many peoples are worry about fat.

  256. As someone else sent slimming is not a short term thing, if you change you eating habits to lose weight and then revert to your old habits you will regain the weight.

  257. Hi! Could anyone explain me why many people associate losing weight with restrictions, problems, exhaustion and so on? What is wrong with eating healthy food and still stay positive about physical activity? It is great to feel that your body is healthy, it should bring only positive moments. I’m very disappointed when people whine about their bad health and do nothing to change the situation.

  258. I find that I have to look at eating right as a goal but also limit my access to things that will throw me off track. I make a list of things before I go to the grocery store and only buy things where it doesnt matter if i snack on them whenever I want. The snacking is what gets me every time…

  259. I think that you are right - it’s a lifestyle change, it’s becoming “a person who tends to eat healthily” rather than a person who has just started to diet. It’s seeing yourself as a healthy eater, rather than as a person on a diet. Good luck ;)

  260. However there are so many ways to losing weight. The importance is we must consider some factors to choose the best weight loss diet that suitable for our body

  261. If you want to loose his weight then he should mange his life in a proper schedule. There should be time for work, eat and exercise. If someone act upon just on these 3 tips he will surely loose his weight and can make better his life.

  262. Great post i am sure that many people will surely like it. It is not easy to loose weight in such an easy manner.

  263. To be slim is not an easy thing,Should have a good diet, have proper maintenance and control, all this makes us perfect figure..

  264. Don’t be discouraged by slipping. I think the guilt we put on ourselves when we break our diet only hurts us because we cope with the guilt by overeating- or at least that’s me. When we understand that we will slip off the wagon time and again- and forgive ourselves for doing so- we can resist the temptation to feed ourselves in our guilt.

  265. congrats on your success lizzie for losing 25 lbs, for most its like a dream, You have provided a great info related to weight loss tips in your blogs that helps a great way to me to proceed in losing weight.

  266. It seems that it doesn’t matter if i go on a diet or not i will always gain weight unless i exercise. i think that is the only way to keep the pounds off.

  267. Hi, this blog is nice and very informative.

  268. I am a big fan of this blog please keep it up

  269. To keep on your goals, I think its also important to focus on some of the incidental benefits to weight loss. We know that you’ll look and feel better for having lost the weight. I’ll also note that reducing excess weight can help with hormonal issues that cause excessive hair. For many of my clients, seeking laser hair removal, we suggest proper dieting and exercise to stem the hormonal imbalances that cause excess hair growth.

  270. This comes from people expecting miracles and not learning to lead a healthy lifestyle. The laziness of Americans is going to catch up with us sooner or later.

  271. I personally went through the exact same situation as you did, my problem was I never liked eating healthy. While I was freshly motivated I was able to eat much healthier and start to achieve my weight loss goals, however as I slowly burned out I began to put less effort into eating stuff I did not fully enjoy and slowly slipped back into my old habits. I have since found a solution for myself. Instead of cutting out everything I love that is unhealthy and eating only 100% healthy food, I found a happy median area. I began by making simple substitutes in my diet, like going from regular noodles to whole grain noodles. I would try a few brands and hopefully find one I like. When I do, that becomes the new product I use, if not, then I look at another common meal and look for substitutes. Now a few months later after lots of trial and error my diet is similar however there have been lots of small changes that add up to a big improvement. I have begun loosing weight without having to choke down food I dont like. My greates find was a grain called Quinoa. I found a great article about its benefits and it sold me. You might want to check it our for yourself. http://ezinearticles.com/?Quinoa-Nutrition-Facts-and-Review&id=3317098

  272. Losing weight and get slimming fit on the body is very important, especially for obesity people. Women also always care with their weight, they always fear if they weight going raise

  273. It’s often the case that you start full of motivation and have a clear goal, but along the road, you loose some of the initial inspiring thoughts because you don’t get the fast results you want. The biggest problem is maybe to find a way to stick to your method and goal. Maybe friends or other people around you can help?

  274. I got the Wii fit game for Christmas. This game makes working out fun again.

  275. Thanks for the great post.. I’m right there with you. It seems like the weight you take off is the weight you get back. For me the problem is lifestyle change. It seems that no matter what I do to get the weight off, it just comes back. I think this is largely due to the fact that the exercise and diet changes required to lose the weight aren’t sustainable.

I need to find something I can live with… that allows me to lead a normal life and not have to worry about every single morsel of food I put in my mouth!

  276. Your right about fad diets.

It’s more the cause of eating thats the issue.

With me, I eat when im bored or angry but after seeing my mentor I realised that I need to associate ‘bad’ with overeating and ‘good’ with eating only half of the plate.

I found that by patting myself of the back when I pushed away a plate with food still left on it I instantly felt better about myself and food in general.

Now my meals are smaller (because I hated throwing away food) and I don’t eat as much.

    Hope this helps.

    Warm regards,
    Adam Johnstone

  277. Thanks….is very goods..

  278. To change yourself on a permanent basis requires a lifestyle change. There is no way around it. If you are overweight, hang out with thin people. Try to adopt their habits. You will notice that they are energetic, and eat to live, not live to eat. Food has to take less of a role in your life, but don’t focus on it. Have so much to do you don’t have time to eat.

  279. I can empathize with you. I was off to such a good start last year, and now I’ve re-gained some of the weight that took so long to get rid of. The deserts were not worth it!

  280. Losing weight was a big frustration for my wife when she weighed 140 lbs during her early 40’s. Here where we’re from, that’s already a big cue.

I know how hard it is to resist food that really gets well into our taste buds. I’ve heard of a diet plan though that lets you eat whatever you want one day, and makes you more cautious the other days left. However, heavy physical activity is needed. A local celebrity tried it, I’ve heard. I’m still making further research on this one, so I’m not making any recommendations.

I agree. Healthy weight loss really is all about disclipine, and making it a part of your system in the latter.

  281. Starting is easy, continuing is the hardest part :-/

Best wishes and a happy new year to all of you!

  282. eat the healhy meals is the best way

  283. Everyday I eat moer foods ,I Can’t weight healthily and permanently .How Can I?

  284. Hi,

My experience is that, after 10lbs to 20lbs, it’s not just the food intake that matters. You need to burn more calories every day by cycling a few miles, walking more and occasionally swimming. If I don’t do these activities after xmas then I can never lose weight.

  285. Agreed, I had the same issue of getting started as well. It’s like they say, a ball in motion stays in motion, but hard to get it started! After many years of success and then failure and frustration, I figured out what the challenge was. It was that most of the food I was eating was not only addictive, but was clogging my system up so the exercise and activity was hard… getting started was hard and even after I got started, it was hard to keep going. I always had to use self discipline to fight through it which after many years of trying… just doesn’t work in the long term. It’s not supposed to be that hard to stay healthy and at a normal or optimal weight!

So quite by accident I started eating more fresh fruits and veggies, smoothies and no processed foods at all. Every week it became easier and easier and I started feeling light on my feet, energetic and found it easy to get up and get outside to run, exercise or just move around. The addictive properties of the processed foods went away… in fact all my cravings went away as well as my 50 pounds of extra fat! At this point it wasn’t hard at all to do anything since after cleaning my body out, detoxing, I apparently got rid of the junk and now feel energetic all the time, find it easy to move about and exercise at any time, need less sleep and just feel great. It’s not a struggle, it’s now natural. I think that’s where most of us get tripped up. And most importantly, I’m grateful to be in excellent health and 50 pounds lighter for 4 years now.. and haven’t strayed from that weight more than one pound either.

I really think the secret is to eliminate processed (and most cooked) foods in my experience. Some refer to it as a raw food diet but I like to call it a raw food lifestyle. Check it out.

All the best and good luck everyone!

  286. its very nice and amazing project.

  287. Thanks for the article. Just continue to write so.

  288. Why is it that junk food tastes so good! Thats where i fail, I just can’t give up the McDonalds and KFC’s of the world.

  289. You need to try to make a lifestyle change that is slow and permanent, such a change can be sticking to 6 small meals a day and making sure you workout everyday. You may of lost 6 lbs 20 times this year, the only thing is keeping it off, you can do it!

  290. You have actually given me something to think about. I wonder why I don’t manage to lose weight - I always “start” and then falter very shortly after, most of the times on the same day! I will have to change my approach I think….

  291. I have personally lost 35lbs and i know it is not simple to lose weight. But you need to stick to your goals and do it! the results are well worth it! Thanks for the great post!

  292. up your exersice

or pick one thing and staty with it

my buddy cut out butter on his toast every morning

he was able to maintain the weight loss just on this one simple task

  293. I was very impressed and felt had to get a valuable experience after reading your article. I will learn more and I’ll try to implement. thanks for sharing

  294. I had to do big changes in my approach to food like 2 years ago. It’s one long hard road to take. I’ve lost lots of pounds and I’m trying to control my weight now. Healthy eating is not hard for me (big step at first but I’m fine atm). My main struggle was to find good enjoyable exercises for my taste. I see I’m not alone on this. I tried to combine 2 fitness programs and it was huge success for me. I hope I won’t give up this lifestyle one day.

  295. I’m on the the Flat Belly Diet right now. I think one of the tricks is to get through the first four days when you’re cravings are crazy. Once you hit the fifth day things get easier.

  296. Great accomplishment by our Author of the article. I really wish i knew the secret too :( . Oh well, i will contact the author :)

  297. It must be excited feeling when you gain desired weight loss. Thanks for sharing this happiness.

  298. The only thing stopping you from losing more is yourself. Keep on going, but it seems like you quit since you haven’t update this blog for months.

  299. Great post!I have another great experience to reduce weight and melt the fat away.I absolutely LOVE STRIKER!!!! It does not make me feel jittery or wired but gives me enough energy to get through my busy day. As a single mom it is important for me to be able to keep up with my two kids and work. Striker gives me the boost I need to take an hour out of my day so I can get back into shape. Thanks Roman for coming out with this amazing fat burner.

  300. Yes… me to

  301. There are quite a few people that fall in to that same category as you are. (Myself included) It’s much like an addiction in my opinion. Eating unhealthy foods has turned in to a lifestyle for many, breaking that comfort barrier is extremely tough.
    Good luck!!

  302. It does stink when you are trying to lose weight. It really has to be a decision and a lifestyle change. I always get caught up in one night of bad eating and then I think ok I will just start again on Monday. Damn this weight thing!!

  303. I agree changing your usual diet is easier than looking for a good exercise or physical activity try to start walking it out or a little jog that will be a good start…

  304. Thats hard questions. My weight is too more than 100kg, I am trying to loose my weight in different ways. The biggest success, was in water and bread diet. Yes it sounds something connected prison. But it isn’t. For two weeks I was eating just bread and drinking water and one week taking vitamins mix (special tablets). and YES! I lost 5kg of my weight :)

  305. “Dr. P. K. Talwar is an experienced Liposuction specialist in Delhi India. Dr Talwar is a fully qualified Liposuction or Fat Removal Surgeon in Delhi, India. He is located in New Delhi, India.”

  306. congrats on your weight loss. You know, what I know everyone says breakfast is important because it kick starts your metabolism, and they’re right, I’m sure… but its not for me.breakfast is main reason of my of my problem..

  307. You just have to be stricy with yourself.

  308. I think finding physical activities that one can enjoy is not that difficult these days. Big companies are always introducing new products in order to attract more people to physical activity, examples are the step, jukari, and spinning among others. You can even get fitter with video games such as Wii Fit.

  309. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people are looking to solve their problems with a pill. Losing weight and staying healthy is very much a roller coaster ride. I have been lucky enough to stick with it for about 5 years now. I lost about 50 pounds and have kept it off. Initially it was all about counting calories. About a year ago I read the book Eating for Life and have been implementing that strategy. Its hard sometimes, but I can’t imagine going back now.

  310. Losing weight is not that easy. All you need to do is regular exercise, sound sleep, destressing activities like meditation and proper diet plan.

But never compromise with the essential nutrient diet. Take all the essential vitamins and minerals.

  311. I’m a fat guy who needs to reduce weight but my doc. will go mad when he see me at any restaurant. Its very hard for me to go slim like Phelps..even though I tried for a month. I couldn’t resist eating red meat. On this 2010 I need to change a lot. Thanks for your post. Next time I’ll return to your blog after reducing my weight.

  312. Dieting is a mindset that’s destined to fail. Combine that with a regular schedule of going to the gym and I’ve built a routine/lifestyle that works in the long term.

  313. “You are what you eat.” Better choose food groups with higher metabolism but less fats. Also a good exercise will be handy along the way.

In a case you are working on a building, instead of using the elevator just to go 1 floor up or down why not use the stairs.

  314. I thought the recent report from the UK was interesting re fat. The `experts` are now telling us that the fat aroud the waist is a `bad` fat. On the other hand, the fat around the bum and thighs is the `good` sort. So, no need to worry too much about having too much padding in that part of the anatomy then.

  315. I empathize with your frustration. I seem to keep packing on the pounds, regardless of my diet and exercise habits. I just keep getting fatter and fatter.

  316. That makes 120 pounds. Wow just think I am now 65 years old and have been doing that for 50 years! That makes 6 TONS!!!

  317. I like very much your way of presentation.I got more useful information on this blog. Thanks to sharing the useful information.Keep posting such great post.

  318. What weight loss supplement would be best for me to take along with working?

  319. i’ve been wanting to loose 10 kilos this year. argh! by tomorrow, i’ll be starting to jog and go to gym. wish me luck!

  320. Saw your Blog bookmarked on Reddit.I love your site and marketing strategy.

  321. In my particular case, once I made my mind and started on the right track, losing weight wasn’t difficult. Once I was around the right weight / height ratio I just kept doing exercise and stuck to the basics of good eating: skimmed milk, no junk food, light sodas, small portions, etc. But what I’m really finding hard is gaining muscle, believe me, once you lost weight you may want to gain muscle, and that is harder from my point of view.

  322. Dieting is so hard- it really is a permanent mindset. That’s why finding a “diet” that you can follow forever is essential. It’s about changing the way that you look at food and sticking with it. There are also a number of reputable and natural products on the market today that can aid in weight loss in more effective ways than you ever thought possible.
