Well, I wanted to know that too.
I’m at the tail end of the Baby Boomers, so I’m starting to feel my age. At first it felt like a gradual process, but now I’m rapidly feeling the effects of my years. I bring this up because I recently stumbled upon a site offering information on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. I found the information very intriguing and I could definitely relate to what was being reported.
Like many of my peers and colleagues, I am under a great deal of stress and my doctor told me that this is the cause of early menopausal symptoms. I’ve heard both good things and bad things about hormone therapy and because of family history – I’m a little skeptical. But, that’s why I became interested in this hormone replacement therapy because it uses natural hormones instead of synthetic hormones. This appears to be a holistic approach, which includes proper fitness and nutrition and hormone therapy.
It never occurred to me to be proactive as I age. The more information I gather, the more it makes sense to start with therapy. I am trying to take care of myself with diet and exercise – I should also be concerned about hormone imbalance – especially at my age.

Does this really help? I’ve been feeling the effects of creaking bones and an unwilling body more and more. Used to be able to work 12-14 hours a day, but now I get tired real fast. Maybe this could help.
Fat people are also just people, so you don’t need to worry if you are fat and you can’t sing…
I’m a little skeptical. But, that’s why I became interested in this hormone replacement therapy because it uses natural hormones instead of synthetic hormones.
Hmmm. Waiting for results…
is it so actually? but as it uses natural hormones instead of synthetic hormones i think it will work.as natural remedy is always the best
i am interesting in results of it, of course it will work
Get us your results Lizzie as soon as you can. Have you consulted a doctor before you hormone therapy?

John and deals, as you mentioned exercising and dieting will help losing the weight. But for people with high Obesity, looking to shed some in a short span of time, Harmone replacement therapy is used. But what I want to know is whether it has any side effects. And also does it require any diet practices…
Thanks in advance…
It is so important to take care of your body because its the only one you have. Being proactive with diet and exercise can prevent all sort of medical issues and help to prolong you life by years. The sooner one can start to make a habit of deit and exercise the sooner they will be on the road to physical wellness.
Thanks a lot for this post. Let us know of the results! Will be pretty interesting
Being Fat doesn’t mean your weak or not healthy, because there are thin people that is not healthier…A healthier body is important not physical outcome.
Hormone imbalance is very important. Sorry maybe for incorrect question, but ow old are you? It really depends on age.
fat pepole have to do some good exercise and dieting. I think they must have to do running in the morning by this way they can loss the weight……!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot for this post. Let us know of the results! Will be pretty interesting
what I want to know is whether it has any side effects. And also does it require any diet practices
I’m curious about the long term effects of natural HRT vs synthetic. Im sceptical of HRT in general.
It’s frustrating that even if you do everything right (diet exercise etc.) hormones can throw everything off!
The sooner one can start to make a habit of deit and exercise the sooner they will be on the road to physical wellness.
My aunt is going through this right now, and she has considered this hormone therapy. Thanks for the great link to that info website.
I think its a little dangerous to mess with our hormones without better understanding of what it does.
I was skeptical at first too, hormones are one of the worst things I can think of that can be messed up inside me. But my mother went through one of these therapies and the results are amazing!
Bodylogic is good, but you might also want to read the hormone articles at womentowomen.com (it’s part of the clinic founded by Dr. Christiane Northrup). Here’s a good starter (on BHRT): http://www.womentowomen.com/bioidentical-hrt/bioidenticalhormones.aspx
also, here’s a quize to see if you have a hormonal imbalance:

My daughter is also “chubby”. Have told her to exercise more to reduce or get rid of those excess fats. But because of her age, she finds it hard to do my wanting as she is so fond of eating any thing that fancy her.
I recommend rigid exercise rather than the chemical way of reducing weight (fats).
Hello FatLadySingz, it’s been 3 weeks since your last post, no update yet? Waiting for more articles, =)
I think I’d be pretty skeptical and wary of trying anything that has anything to do with hormones unless absolutely necessary - I was like a crazy person when my doc prescribed birth control pills to get everything back to “normal” - wasn’t worth it to me at all!
But if it helps, well, then it helps
Everybody’s body is different!
I’d never heard of this hormone replacement therapy before but you are right, it does sound quite interesting. It could be an important part of staying young (as young as possible anyway) along with diet and exercise.
Im wondering how old are you? since it is no where to find in the post, My aunt went true this hormone therapy and thanks god nothing bad happened
Any natural vitamins and herbs I feel is the best approach. In my opinion many of the issues we deal with health wise are partially due to a lack of nutriotion in our diet.
Great job with a proactive approach.
I’m a regular reader of your blog and this post peaked my interest. I’ve always been interested in genetics and biology and do think that personalising medications to an individuals genetics/DNA will be the way forward in the future.
These Bioidentical hormones are still still created in a laboratory though and I think marketing them as ‘natural’ is a bit misleading and a lot of people (including the FDA) agree that the bioidentical HRT has the same risk factors as the synthetic variety.
I personally think that it’s an individual choice - what works for one woman may do nothing for another - much the same as the contraceptive pill. Doctors should trial patients to see what works best for them rather than dishing out generic medication.
Hello,
I am looking forward to the results!
I wonder what the result would be. I’m interested in doing it myself, but always pretty skeptical. I just somehow am afraid of the word hormone and sometimes envision a totally hormone imbalanced self
Sometime even after doing whole hard work like Morning walk, tight diet (killing all habits of eating sweets), doing exercise to burn the calorie, you wont get the desired results.
But you will have to keep doing it.
The hardest thing for some people is to START on a healthy path, but when you do start you will see the results. Because when you feel better, you are better!
Great review. I can let my mom read this since she’s on for her menopausal period too.
Hormone treatment may cause many side effects!
Taking care of your body is pretty important. But some people have a faster metabolism then others.
I would not recommend hormone treatments. The side effects just don’t seem worth it…Just like I recommend staying away from gastro-bypass; once you have to mess with internal organs, it can’t be a good thing. We were built a certain way for a reason…
Bioidentical hormones are manufactured in the lab to have the same molecular structure as the hormones made by your own body. By contrast, synthetic hormones are intentionally different.
now I feel like eating a big burger. thanks for the tips and greetings from Spain,
Sawsana
This seems like a drastic treatment. The most important thing is to be healthy and explore your options before you make a decision.
so does it happen due to menopause or what??? I am really under stress off late..plz help me out there…are you sure it will go ??
Thank you very much! We are with my Russian wife is looking forward to the results.
I really liked the post.
I hope it works for all who try
Please keep us posted on the results! I’m curious to know, as my friends has tried hormone therapy and experienced too many side effects.
I’m also skeptical and i want to know if i take hormone replacement therapy ( it uses natural hormones instead of synthetic hormones), then have any problem occur??
i wish i had the kind of funds that would let me consider bioidentical hormones.
that-which-is-running-on-acai-and-faith
It’s hard to think what really causes the imbalance. It seems like something must be making it more often occuring then in the past since I don’t think this use to happen as often in the past.
So How’s the therapy going? Does the natural hormone work? It’s been a long time you don’t post anything new here…
And what is that natural gormone??
How it has been produced??
Yep we are waiting to get the latest news from you. Take your time and update your readers about what is going on at your end.
Take Care.
Generally BHRT is prescribed to relieve the symptoms of menopause, though more recent therapies promise anti-aging effects and possible deferral of the diseases of aging. BHRT differs from conventional hormone replacement therapy, which by definition uses animal or synthetic hormones whose structures are similar or identical to those produced in the human body.
“Bioidentical” hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is the use of supplemental doses of steroid hormones with a chemical structure identical to endogenous human hormones (hormones naturally produced in the human body).
I am waiting for the results.
I became interested in this hormone replacement therapy because it uses natural hormones instead of synthetic hormones.
I still don’t know and much sure about Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Still good to read your article, thanks for the great info.
I would be a little wary of hormones. I hope it is working for you though. I love your blog!
I know people who swear by this. My hair stylist was just telling me how it changed her life. She’s in her fifties and said it helped her to lose weight, made her muscles harder, and increased her sex drive (too much info on that lol). She doesn’t use the creams, she actually has a pellet injected into her hip.
This discussion has been causing a lot of buzz here in Brazil. Just wanted to thank you for this posting!
Although there may be some side effects, many people have been happy with the hormone replacements to get them “over the hump”. If it can be done naturally, why not give it a try?
- Rachelle
Thanks a lot for sharing! I am excited to hear the result.
If they are natural, i am PRO! Who knows, may be it’s another step in fight with ageing.
Since my bio-identical hormone study was covered in the media back in 2006, why do so many women and men continue to struggle with hormonal imbalances that can lead to aging and chronic diseases - hypertension, high cholesterol.
I M not In Medical line just a normal person and seriously i not hear any thing about this in past but thanks for this post which give me knowlodge about this..
So I’m just curious, how do they get natural hormones? They harvest them out of another living thing?? I’d guess that some people need it if they have some kind of physical imbalance, but has your doctor actually recommended it for you personally or is this something you heard of and thought to try?
I am starting my bio identical hormone replacement therapy next month, I’ve just had my blood tests done. I have dieted, excercised my whole life; walked, swam, weight lifted and I am 260 lbs. I can lose weight but can’t keep it off. Besides hormone replacement therapy I also found out it’s spiking insulin that causes fat to be stored. Cut out white sugar is the key. I found a replacement recipe that makes a sugar without spiking insulin in our body and it doesn’t decay teeth too! See it on my facebook page (Kathy Stewart Longhurst) or email me at sandhollow@aol.com and I will send you the recipe, it makes about 24 lbs of sugar and costs about $120 - thats about a years supply of sugar - oh yea, if you want some great info on hormone replacement therapy read suzanne somers book, Ageless
This is very interesting. I am not to sure what I think about it, but natural has go to be better than fake right? I would love to know what you find out and deiced to do. We all age so I am sure we would all love to know what we could do about it, because most the time our bodies age faster than our minds.
My mother was prescribed a bioidentical hormone in the form of a cream for her menopause. She is wondering if anyone knew the best time of day to apply the cream of does it not matter? Any help is appreciated.
I agree, I mean if it works give it a try. especially if it is healthy
Hormones can be dangerous if not followed by a doctor. id rather stay with my natural ones.
I have a friend who does natural hormones and loves them. It helps her stay up with her young children and she says there are not as many side effects as the other hormones. would give them a try and see how you feel.
I don’t know if jumping to hormone treatment without clear doctor’s advice is the best idea. I mean if they screw up with your hormones you’ll be in a lot of trouble.
i try to keep myself away from the first of a technology. it never fails that there is something wrong with it. not always, i know, but most of the time it needs some massaging. take caution and learn all that you can.
The idea of using hormones really worries me. I have heard so many negative things about using hormones. I hope it works out for you, though.
Have you had any success with certain types of natural hormone replacements? And what has your experience given you in terms of educating the general public about any risks, the financial costs, and how quickly results are felt?
I’m skeptical of this therapy. Every time I hear about it I wonder if it can be true.
My aunt recently hand bioidentical hormone therapy, and it’s really been paying off. She’s been stressed out trying to get her CPA, and it took a huge toll on her physically and emotionally. I’m just sayin… it’s tough to rule out hormone therapy if it works.
Akavar is a great weight loss supplement that helps curb hunger and focus on calorie-burning/
Great read…waiting for the results too…..
For hormone therapy, What is the age range?
So how is it going? Did therapy work? It’s been a long time. Would love to hear from you.
Does it really help? i dont belive
Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy has been proposed by some doctors as a reasonable alternative, although it is not commonly prescribed. The study is limited by the fact that it is not a randomized placebo-controlled study and did not include a standardized diet plan or depression scale survey
I’ve been meaning to find more information about biomedical hormone therapy. Thanks for the very informative post.
Thanks a lot for this post. Let us know of the results! Will be pretty interesting
Now this sounds interesting - I;ve heard a lot of bad press about the old HRT products, but the fact that this product is using natural hormones does make more sense to me. I’m in my early 40s and already starting to experience some early signs of menopause, so I think I’ll definitely be taking a look at this option.
Thank you for bringing it to our attention - much appreciated.

Our bodies are programmed to age - at a certain age we start to lose our hormones thus again rapidly begins - bioidentical hormones just replace the hormones you are losing and they are not synthetic. The reason people feel better once they start this is that their bodies rapid decline slows way down and even backs up a little - women lose their hormones within 2 years so their problems are more acute - men lose theirs slowly over a 15 year period. I’m 47 and have just started feeling the effects, wake up at 2 in the morning and can’t go b ack to sleep, fatigue all the time, foggy memory - can’t remember anything, rapid weight gain - bioidentical hormones are wonderful - I just started!
My instincts tell me that it is going to work. Interesting article.
Narconon Vista Bay still raises the glimmers of hope to everybody when drug and alcohol have not excluded even a single family from showing its wide spread tentacles.
Thanks for the great link to that info website. Very educational article. Continue podderzhiat your blog.
Just stumbled on this site. I don’t know anyone who uses hormone therapy, but it would be interesting to see more testimonials on this.
great article, i feel my hormones coming on strong at my late age as well
Thanks for the article, I myself am seeing a doctor regarding my hormones and the treatment is going very well so far. Thanks!
I really liked the post.
I hope it works for all of those who try.
It really saves me time and effort. I could probably go into sales for you. I have gotten at least 50 times the value from What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, You Ask.
Doctors may prescribe different schedules for taking hormone therapy (HT). Every woman’s hormone therapy (HT) treatment and schedule should be individualized based on her particular situation
I have heard about it previously also but I need to wait and watch more. Meditation, eating lots of green fresh vegetables, reducing intake of oily fast foods and non veg foods and drinking a lot of water everyday can help you to fight back stress and arrest your age growth a bit.
Oh boy. I researched the hell out of this subject about a year ago - all the alternatives you can find to bioidentical therapy. Things like black cohosh, camu camu, ginseng, soy, wild yam, even st john’s wort helps some women. All can help certain individuals with the symptoms of menapause.
See this site: http://www.menopausetreatmentguide.com/
It’s a bit rough but it can help you learn a lot about the natural supplements you can use.
Can someone tell me when we will have the results? or may be it’s already there but i miss somethin’. thaks for the post btw..
yeah, well said ! would be good to know the final results…
My mother was prescribed a bioidentical hormone in the form of a cream for her menopause. She is wondering if anyone knew the best time of day to apply the cream of does it not matter? Any help is appreciated.
Great post. Really informative. How have the results of this been?
I’m also a bit skeptical.. does this sort of thing really work, or is it just snake oil with a different skin?
Good blog. This article is very attractive.waiting for the result.
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is a layman’s term for the treatment of the hormone deficiencies caused by menopause and andropause using only molecules that are identical to the endogenous hormones found in the human body. BHRT differs from traditional hormone replacement therapy which includes animal-derived and invented molecules that are similar to, but not identical, to human hormones. The primary bioidentical hormones replaced in human females, estradiol and progesterone, are available in both FDA-approved and individualized pharmacy-compounded products.. “BHRT” is sometimes use more generally to describe the practice of using only bioidentical hormones in the treatment of all hormone deficiencies.
Seems like there is some new health trend out there every week now. I’d be cautious with the choices you make, especially if the techniques and ideas are new, but you never know. It just might work for you. Keep us posted!
It makes me wonder what people did years ago before all this therapy stuff?
nice trip.this post is very informative.thanks.
‘Natural’ HRT is new one me! Hope it has some positive benefits.
great post, i get a lot of questions asked about menopause and really enjoyed what you had to write.
I’ve been using BHRT for over 2 years. My health improved so dramatically that my husband started taking them soon after I started, and his energy level and health have improved ten-fold. (Same with the sex life, by the way…)
>
–they looked older and died sooner!
It makes sense to take advantage of the progress in science as long as the benefits are proven, or at the very least the side effects well-known.
Anything is worth a try if you look into the side effects, my wife is going through the same thing, will suggest she look into it, if she doesn’t feel like pounding me out at the time, maybe she will…
This is an interesting therapy but aren’t there big risks?
… you have to think that a natural hormone is safer to use than a synthetic derivative? Don’t care what the drug makers say…
