Now that I’ve completed three full days on the new diet - I feel great. When I’m consumed with eating all the wrong foods and way too much of them - I dread returning to a healthful lifestyle. But now that I’m back - I feel better physically and emotionally.
I am trying to keep it real and act as if this is a lifestyle and not a diet - which exactly what I want it to be.

True that. I live on the 4th floor of my apartment building, and when I come in feeling hungry, I can’t wait for the rickety elevator and easily climb the stairs without huffing or puffing. But when I’ve coming out after breakfast in the morning, it’s a pain to even climb down the stairs, amd I tend to wait for the elevator.
i read all ur posts. and i must say, now that u have come this far, pls dont give up on your efforts. keep going.

first, i would like to congratulate you for deciding to start living healthy, I KNOW its a decision that is really hard to commit to, especially when youre just starting out … every baby step is something to be proud of… and when you begin to see the results, it does make you feel a millions times better… i totally agree with you when you said that it has to be a lifestyle… but the correct diet plans, could lead you the way! eat healthy, and stay healthy!

Getting ready to start a diet and exercise program of my own. The part that is the hardest for me is that almost all health foods cost a lot of money. Eating healthy seems to always put a dent in the monthly budget.
Firstly I would like to congrat you on your success of diet and getting back to a healthy life style. Its very good to hear that you are aware of your life style. Now maybe its my turn to choose the correct life style. Even I would like to go on diet and lose my unwanted weight.

But anyway, I have recently started my weight loss lifestyle, and I love it. Every little bit of weight loss makes me so much better about myself.
Thats an excellent strategy, never think of a diet as a diet, once you get over the whole diet concept all this little eating and more exercise will seem normal to you.

I was where you are after my first pregnancy. And believe me I know how it is. Best advice I can give to you is to look to the future. If you can imagine yourself being what you want to be, you will make small steps to achieve that.
Dont be hard on yourself, but keep it going. Remember, baby steps

I have been on Herbal Magic since before Christmas. I’ve lost 39 pounds, and I feel great! Now, no backsliding…
I think you are on the right track. I lost 65 lbs a few years ago and had to completely get over the concept of a diet. Once I reframed what food meant to me and started seeing it as an oppertunity to do something good for myself the cravings or desire for unhealthy choices were easier to overcome. Eventually making the more healthful choice was just something I did naturally.
Yeah. Balancing your diet and life style is really difficult. I try to keep sweets out of my house, so I avoid temptation
Good for you and good luck with the diet! I am on a diet myself. The Special K diet. Not kidding either, I decided to see if it would work. Today is my first day, I wanted to start yesterday (monday) but I hear that it is bad to start diets on a monday?!?!
Yeah, moving away from the diet thing is key.
Being it college makes eating right hard, but I plan to really work on it this summer.
Good work keeping up the diet. I find that once you get into the habit, things get much easier. I am glad I don’t need to worry about weight, but I should start eating better anyway.

I like your last comment about it being a lifestyle. It’s not only about what you eat, but I think more importantly, a mental and emotional attitude transformation. After all, it’s about being educated and feeling good about ourselves - then we can worry about the physical stuff.

I am not a diet type of person but I do eat carefully, eating only healthy food. Sometimes, I go totally on vege only certain days I eat meat..
I don’t do diet but I keep in shape…. well it’s a sort of diet because I eat only healthy, fat-free food and I keep out of my reach food that can make me fat like bread, yogurt, sugar… etc, etc. I feel good!

I do not ungergo diet because it is a silly thinking. Just eat your 3 meals properly and healthily is already the best way to slim down.
It is good job!! I had try dieting also but fail to all the tempting foods. It needs persistency to keep it up in order to see better result.

I’ve noticed you’ve tried a number of different diets… Have you thought of using the diet plate to help balance your diet? It’s a common sense approach, and helps with the visual representation of what portion size you should be aiming for.
Also - there as site called ‘fat secret’ which is a brilliant source of recipes, community, diet tips, etc.
