Will the Ultra Lite Diet work for me when many meals I eat “on the go”. I know that’s not a good way to eat or live - but, it’s reality. When I was looking over the diet program in depth yesterday, I realized that all the foods not only need to be prepared (something I rarely do) AND they need to be eaten with utensils.
Perhaps this is how I got into this situation - poor diet, eating in the car, eating mostly processed foods, etc. But, it still concerns me. How will this diet and new lifestyle fit into my busy, crazy life?

I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog.
It unfortunate that eating unhealthy is often much easier. It’s the whole balanced diet that gets me.
One thing to remember is that preparing food and taking the time to sit down and enjoy it is not only more healthy but is more satisfying too.
Its so much nicer to eat whatever you want, unfortunately some have to cut back, your better off health-wise going without McDonalds and Burger King.
I think that the hardest part of dieting is eating on the go…Making meals at home lets you control exactly what you put in, but anytime you have to save time to get somewhere, the healthy meals are harder to come by. Obviously fast food is the worst…but I think there are other healthy options.
Interesting that ppl in this country who are in the lower end of the economic spectrum have the largest waists. Probably due to the fact that they eat too much fast food and processed foods. Eating healthy can be an investment for some folks.
it’s awful not to eat when you really want it…..
I think this is actually the hardest part of eating a healthy diet. If I just stayed home all day, it would be really easy to prepare healthy food. What helped me out the most was packing food and taking it with me. It sort of sounds like that’s not an option with the Ultra Lite diet, but I think I’m right when I say that just about any kind of sandwich or salad that you make at home and pack with you is going to be a lot healthier (less fat, fewer calories) than just about anything you can get at a restaurant. It’s not following the diet perfectly, but it’s better than giving up altogether.
It’s important that we have to choose the kind of food that we are eating. as much as possible we have to avoid eating processed foods. We should be health conscious!
I think it is really hard to merge it with ur life.
Preparing ourselves for dieting…. Man thats so stuff
I feel you on this one. I rarely find the time to cut, prepare, let alone cook for myself. IT’s sad but most (or a lot) of people share this predicament. I’ve looked into having prepared meals delivered to your home or office but that is just so expensive. There has to be some useful tools out there for those with busy lifestyles. We need to eat healthy too after all.
It’s important to find a diet that will suit your lifestyle. Otherwise you will give up pretty quickly.
why ultra diet?
I think moderate diet and lots of exercise is the way to go!
I have the same problem. I spend way too much time on the go, hence grabbing food at drive-throughs. I’ve tried cutting out sodas. That seems to have helped somewhat.
although life is busy or crazy, but we still need to care about our food style, live style very carefully especially those on diet..
Eating on the go is almost never a good idea. If you need to, maybe packing a bag of baby carrots, fresh fruit, or even a small bag of rice cakes…………….:)
I’m not a big fan of diets, but I wish you luck with this one.
Its so much nicer to eat whatever you want, unfortunately some have to cut back..thanks for the information.keep it up!!!!

Cut out the juices, sodas, and milk. That alone will cause a drop 5 to 10 pounds. You are right, stay away from processed foods. That alone will cause a gain of 5 to 10 pounds. I did not see any mention in your blog about exercise so I assume your busy schedule does not permit it at this time. Above all, stay away from late night snacks, and keep a diary to record all meals. Eating in the car usually means eating drive thru processed food.
Having Good Balance in food will really help. Lots of Green Vegitables, fruits will work
I think the secret is preparing a whole bunch of small healthy meals/snacks the night before a day when you have a busy schedule. You’ll need a myriad of tupperware. Be prepared! This could prevent snacking on processed/junk food that you may purchase on the spur of the moment.

I have a friend who has the exact opposite problem: She can not gain wait. I swear this girl is one of the luckiest people I have ever met. She will literally invest in gallons of ice cream and not gain a pound. Maybe one day she will learn how to gain weight lol
Doing dieting is not very easy task
Dieting while being so busy is really hard I’ve come to find out.
Your blog reminds me of the wise Kabbalah quote: “Misdirected life force is the activity in disease process. Disease has no energy save what it borrows from the life of the organism. It is by adjusting the life force that healing must be brought about, and it is the sun as transformer and distributor of primal spiritual energy that must be utilized in this process, for life and the sun are so intimately connected.”!!
Like it says in the Old Testament: “He who has an unwise son gets sorrow for himself, and the father of a foolish son has no joy.” (Proverbs, 17, 21)…
I’ll say my mate, it’s not going to be easy!!!!
