Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…

Losing Weight Again

1200 calories a day will produce some weight loss for me. I am doing “prepackaged” foods. I only had to think once this week and that was when I went shopping for the food. That’s the goal – less thinking for me!

Monday I had a Weight Watchers Blueberry muffin for breakfast and Tuesday I had Bran Chex. Monday’s lunch was a tuna salad kit that had crackers and peaches. Lunch on Tuesday was a Lean Cuisine pepperoni pizza. Dinner on Monday was spaghetti ala Roo (my mother made dinner); Tuesday I had sweet and sour chicken made by Hormel. Snacks consisted of 80 calorie cheese sticks, assorted 100 calorie packs of cookies and muffins; low fat yogurt, fruit and diet lemon Snapple. I’m trying to drink enough water and that’s about it.

But, all in all – it’s a lot better than I’ve done in the past six months. So I’m pleased with myself. I will continue to persevere. That’s all I can do.

  2. There are some other ways to lose, for instance “Jet Fuel” which is a fat burner by German American Technologies and it contains many fat burning ingredients that Muscle & Fitness magazine has published to work. BTW watch the Fat calories because calories are not all created equal, don’t be fooled by “100 calorie packs.” Wish you the best!

  3. Hey you should check out this site. Good info there too!

  4. Good luck with your further diet. I’m trying to lose weight with smart for life cookies. Let’s see what they are worth.

It’s my first comment on your blog, so I have to say Hi!

  5. Hang in there. I know it’s not easy, but you can do!

  6. Ahhhh, diet foods.

I agree, that sometimes it is better not to have to think about what you are going to eat…just have it there and be done with it!

  7. Ug..This reminds me that I need to lose weight too. hahah!

  8. It is so true.

Drinking water is great – especially if it is cold and right after eating a lemon snappie!

Good luck Lizzie. I just started my weight loss food program today. I rely on a balance between diets and exercise….

It means I have to exercise according to what I eat – which leaves me to eat almost anything and get away with it (as long as I exercise accordingly).

Also worth mentioning – if you want to lose weight – focus on your mind set first.

If your attitude towards losing weight is set correctly, you can lose weight following the weirdest diets.

The best I will recommend after that is to follow a weight loss food program that you can comfortably marry with your lifestyle.

The less your current lifestyle needs to change to accommodate the weight loss food program, the better the chance that you will stick to the diet.

And let us be frank – the biggest problem lies with the food we eat. Although we can blame lack of exercise, we eventually get to be what we eat.

I say – exercise burns fat but eating food that burns fat is breeding a quality lifestyle.

  9. Just keep at it and never lose faith. And when you are hungry just eat a little.

  10. Keep up the good work. Don’t forget to incorporate some exercise at least 3 times per week. Exercise tends to increase your metabolism which helps you burn calories at a faster rate. Also, smaller more frequent meals. So if you are consuming 1200 calories, you may want to spread that over 5 to 6 meals. There is a Body for LIfe book by EAS which is based on these principles.

  11. Its also hard to lose weight if you are in the online world like us bloggers, or eccomerce people we tend to have a more sedentary lifestyle and that affects our metabolism and also leads to greater weight gain from my experience.

  12. Losing weight is a very challenging thing to do. But you should be careful in choosing the right method that suits to you. some process maybe hazardous to your health. I still believe that exercise is the best and the safest way to lose your weight.

  13. “Lean Cuisine pepperoni pizza” does not sound low calorie – despite the name. I think avoiding cheeses and whole milk is good for the first 2 months or so. If you do each cheese combine it with some carbs. Good Luck!!! So far so good!

  14. When you see the portion size of the Lean Cuisine pepperoni pizza you’ll understand how the calories can be low.

  15. This reminds me that I need to lose weight too. lol

  16. Never been a big fan of diets. I think as long as you keep a good balance of carbs and proteins and work out on a consistent basis, you dont really need to “diet”.

  17. The GM diet plan is also helpful to lose a good amount of weight in just 7 days.

  18. Ya, I could do with losing a few pounds myself, thanks for the reminder

  19. I think losing weight is great for anyone. It’s a huge boost to morale and mental health. In Spain, you could lose weight in many ways – including boxing, going to the beach and cycling. Don’t get caught up with poor methods of losing weight in Spain with this learn Spanish course

  20. My only diet is eating everything, but 1/2 of any portion. I can’t say it’s too effective but it let you don’t limit in your favourite dishes

  21. I find your blog boring,I don’t think you are telling the truth.

  22. Just have discipline in eating. And always find time to exercise to burn those fats.. anyway good luck in your diet. ;)

  23. I think what you wrote about having to do less thinking is an important part of a good diet. When you have to start thinking about what you want to eat, that’s when you start to gravitate toward the bad food groups. It’s all about what you have in your fridge–if you have good food in your fridge it makes it that much easier. Good luck!

  24. I wish you well with your diet. Don’t go too crazy though. :-)

  25. Hope the diet is going well. I did the “prepackaged food” thing as well for awhile but got sick of eating it all the time.

  26. it’s good to lose weight so that you can work easiliy.

  27. I’m pretty sure some people will not like it

  28. I think that food choice is 90% of health. Not eating as much food as your body needs could also affect your health.

  29. I am trying to lose weight and currently on a vitamin supplement with green tea its going ok for now its hard for us women to lose weight!!!

  30. Food is important in weight control but combination with sport exercise will give the best results.I try afther night exercise to drink only water and tommorow morning I think that I feel results.

  31. Just remember to reward yourself during dieting. Exp, treat yourself some fast food after dieting for 2 weeks. We are human not robot :)

  32. In the end it comes to how many calories come in and how many of them get burned. So physical activity is always part of the solution. But really start with the Basal Metabolic Rate. (I explain it more in detail on my blog post that I have linked to above).

  33. Yeah i agree reward yourself don’t just keep starving yourself you must reward yourself to keep the good work up and feel the statisfaction.

  35. Keep up the good work but don’t be too hard on yourself OK!

  36. Be careful not to cut calories too much. 1200 is not very much. If you cut calories too much you will grind your metabolism to a halt and will not have much luck with losing weight. I would instead increase exercise and activity level and keep your calorie intake up a little higher.

  37. It is definitely a lifestyle change… all areas of your life need to reflect a healthy life style and your correct in having a balanced spiritual, physical and emotional life.

  38. i have to start thinking about what you want to eat, that’s when you start to gravitate toward the bad food groups. It’s all about what you have in your fridge–if you have good food in your fridge it makes it that much easier.
