Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…
Lizzie Bean VS Jenny!
I’ve been going back and forth about starting back on Jenny Craig this year. After analyzing why I want to do Jenny vs every other weight loss program out there – I realized that it’s completely about not having to think. Soooooooo, I’m going to save myself the $500 a month I would be spending on Jenny Craig food and prepackage my own food. I’m going to make up a weekly food menu – which was something I loved about JC and purchase or package all the food I will need to fulfill the weeks menu.

its better to have ur own packaged food on any given day. not only does it have lesser calories but u r also saved the doubt of having to eat contaminated food.

I really like weight watchers. I have always wanted to try a pre-packaged food system, but I am too cheap

Well, it is certainly healthier to make the ‘pre-packaged’ food yourself! But, I bet it requires a lot of effort! I am impressed you are up to the challenge. Good luck!! I am rooting for you….take Jenny down!

We have lite and easy food here in Australia and to be honest it tastes pretty good! I’ve lost 5kg in the last two months switching to their meals! The hard part is not snacking in between meals!

My wife got motivated last year and decided she wanted to lose weight. She decided that focusing on what she ate and exercising was the ticket. She lost 20 lbs and has kept it off
The only thing JC does in my opinion is help motivate you not to spend $500 on food!

Lizzie,
My niece tried the Jenny Craig program. It did not seem to be effective. She was good at counting calories but did not incorporate the exercise part. I agree you can save your self a lot of money by planning your meals ahead of time instead of spending it on Jenny Craig. Eat fruits daily, try to drink water , exercise 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes. You should also consider participating in 5k and 10k run and walks. Its a great motivator to exercise.

My roommate is doing Jenny Craig program right now. So far in 2 weeks he lost 2 pounds. I don’t know if this is a good result or not.

It’s better to prepare your own food. Prepackaged food usually contains a lot of artificial flavouring, salt and even sugar. Planning & preparing for the week ahead is great idea. Make large portions and put it in the freezer.
