Gonna get fat!
At least this is what I’ve been told. They say “forget about dieting when in NOLA”… it’s impossible!
Well, I want to get to the point where I don’t have to think about dieting… I want to make healthy food choices as part of my everyday life. I want to be free from the obsession with food. I don’t think it’s possible for me, but maybe at some point I will believe that it is possible - then I will be able to do it.
I either obsess with food or with dieting, which is still obsessing about food.
Hi, my name is Lizzie, and I’m an compulsive overeater.

Hi there,
We have to get to a point where we don’t have to think about dieting!
I believed you can do it. It is going to be very soon, perhaps NOW.
We just need to have confidence in ourselves, believed in ourselves and we will not be obsessed with food anymore.
Let’s just have this thought that you are going to be slim wherever you go
This is NOT some mind game. It works!
Of course, I will strongly recommend you to approach dieting the natural way.
To you Success!
You should avoid cold drinks & junk foods.
I don’t have to go the New Orleans to eat too much. I don’t have to go anywhere to eat too much.
If I may give some of my own advice.
I’m not sure what you drink throughout the day but the very first thing I’d suggest is kick soda if you drink it, even if it’s diet. There’s nothing good in it for you, it doesn’t hydrate you, and some studies are now showing it’s bad for your nervous system. I will guarantee you here and now if you start drinking nothing but water, you’re going to lose at least a little weight. My boyfriend credits the loss of most of his extra weight through doing nothing but switching to water. it worked very well for me too. If you want to, drink fresh, pure juice along with it, or even V8. I get bottles every so often in the morning from a gas station and drink them.
Secondly, one of the things that make dieting so difficult for people is they stress themselves out from the get go and try to do everything at once. You don’t want to do that. Take it in steps. That’s not to say take forever making changes, but changing your habits is of course a life altering thing. Do too much at once and you overwhelm yourself. Make a change every week. One week, start with the water. After that, start cutting white bread for wheat. Slowly ween yourself off eating cheese on everything (I had that problem). One thing I started to do was I did all my food shopping in one day once a month and psyche myself up only to buy healthy stuff for the most part that day. Then if I wanted a particular treat, I’d have to go make a specific extra trip for it. I found that usually stopped my craving because I’m lazy and didn’t feel like going out for one thing
.
From what I’ve found, after a couple weeks the cravings and desire for overeating starts going away. Sometimes it’s sooner than that. I’ve gorged for a week and after making myself stop for one day, I found the cravings ended almost immediately. Just try to stay motivated and surround yourself with signs of what you could look like or how you could feel. I covered a lot of celebrities and models and while some of their personalities are question, I used their looks for motivation and I kept telling myself I wouldn’t mind having a body like that and I’d just need to work for it. That helped get me into exercising more too. The most important thing you’ll get however is the energy boost, it’s like another world. Won’t be as sleepy, won’t be as lethargic. That and of course the health benefits.
That was probably pretty long winded but hopefully it’s at least useful to someone
.
My rule is - eat a little less than you are hungry. I eat without restriction in my diet and stay slim and healthy!
I think it is pretty much normal for us to become a compulsive eater especially if were on travel. I love to eat food and dished which I haven’t tasted so the only thing you should need to do is drink more water and also exercised but if your lazy to do it then just minimized your eating habits like avoid eating junk foods.

My dieting policy is so simple - eat only your body’s required not extra and junk foods. I drink lots of water to maintain my skin and to stay slim and healthy!
I think everyone should follow my rule- Avoid cold drinks & junk foods. Do exercise daily and eat vegetable as you can.
I m also a complusive over eater whenever I travel but I have read that compulsive over-eater uses food to cope with stress, upset, emotional distress, and other problems. I guess it is indeed normal for us to become complusive over eater whenever in travel to cope out stress.
Drinks and junk food are the beast of all. leave them.
Might I suggest doing some volunteering while there? A couple days of manual labor to help others in need will wipe off those added calories and make you feel better by helping where it’s needed.
I know thats right, most people eat the most then there at home anyways. Its Cheaper.
if it helps, eat more fiber! I used to munch on it everytime i think of food - and golly didn’t notice that i could eat so much
I was unaware of the dangers of “cold drinks” until I read these comments. I’ll be sure to drink my Diet Coke extra warm next time.
I came across your blog today and enjoyed reading it, are you not updating any more?
I have not been able to motivate myself to do much of anything lately - especially blogging. I know I just need to do it - regardless of how I feel.
Thanks for commenting!
I just found your site using MSN while searching for treadmills dogs. The information posted at o New Orleans - Lose Weight - Diet Program Review: FatLadySingz.com helped me greatly. Have a great Saturday!
