I want to be part of the growing group of blogs that actually don’t use the “nofollow” tag. Seeing as I have full control of what comments get published and which comments don’t - I think it’s only right to reward the kind bloggers that are not spamming my blog by giving them a link with some value. So I’ve been added to the growing D-List of blogs that follow.

Congratulations on joining the DoFollow movement. I hope it has a positive impact on your site via a big increase in quality comments. As far as spam goes, between akismet and moderation nothing will get through.
The long follow and no follow debate is clearly something that concerns spiders and search engine bots, and not humans. Personally, I couldn’t care less if a blog I am visiting has the tag or not. I think that good content should always be lauded and appreciated.
I just wish I had more time to subscribe to all the blogs I visit and give some thoughts on their write ups.
Wishing you well and hope to land on this user friendly site again.
Welcome to the list my friend!
I have been thinking of adding “DoFollow” to my blog as well. Akismet catches nearly every spam message that I receive (I think about 2 have gotten through).
The only thing I am debating over is if I want comments that are only left because of the DoFollow. For instance, would I be commenting on this blog if it wasn’t a DoFollow blog? I might have commented on this post, but I never would have found your blog in the first place
I agree that it is a positive movement and that it only helps out the community.
I’m actually just about to jump on the Do Follow list, myself. I’m enjoying going through the list and reading blogs and making connections that I wouldn’t have been exposed to, before.
I love your header-art, by the way!
Sincerely,

i am very new to blogging and have just been learning about nofollow, to me it seems like something which will harm the internet not help it. but i have read without it your pagerank will suffer, is this true?
This is something I have been considering for awhile, Keep us posted on how it works out for you. I imagine your comment frequency will increase quite a bit
Wouldn’t of found this blog either…
I got your blog from the list. I think it’s a good idea, but time will tell. Hope you will enjoy my blog too, I will visit yours again, my weight has always been an issue. I think I will go have a mango!
Thanks for the list. And indeed you are quite true that there are things which we cannot avoid especially SPAM. Hope that somehow only those comments in relation (or are not spam) gets credited….
I’m getting ready to start my first blog and will have the no-follows removed as well. As long as comments aren’t spam, why wouldn’t you want people who participate in your blog to get a little link love? I’m for it.
How has being on the D-list helped your traffic/ comments on your website? I have considered for a while on whether to join the movement. Your feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ha, cool. I just found your site from courtneys list. I am on that list too. Cool site ya got here by the way.
I too found your blog from Courtney’s list, but I must say, I’m blown away by your art! Thank you for adding yourself to the list so I could find such wonderfully inspiring pieces! It completely made my day!
I joined the do-follow list about 2 months ago. I definately get more spam but I also monitor it but it can be annoying when they leave the same spam comments all the time. I think its good that am able to give something back to my readers though.
Thats cool I have considered joining the list many times but have not got around to doing it yet. How is it working out for you?
thanks for d-list;)
I have been thinking of adding DoFollow to my blog as well
