These are the calories that I consumed the day before we left for Maine. I wrote of my struggles with traveling and diets on The Incredible Shrinking Ladies. And I do struggle with that. In fact, yesterday I had a small bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. We went out to a local diner type place for lunch and I got an excellent Cajun Chicken Cobb Salad (full of veggies!) for lunch. Then the family got fresh lobsters and clams for dinner. I’m not a fan of the lobster and only the clam if it’s heavily breaded and deep fried – so, they got me three crab cakes and I ate two of them. Maryland is really the place to go for crab cakes! So, overall that probably wasn’t too bad a day for calories, but I’m at the mercy of those feeding me.
Today, the Emperor and I went out for breakfast. I had a two egg omelet with sausage and cheddar, homefries and rye toast. I definitely could have made some better choices for breakfast – but I didn’t. Once I finish up the work that I brought with me to do – I think we’re heading in to Portland and we’ll be having both lunch and dinner there.

The JC cheesecake is less than 200 calories, that’s amazing.
