Not too surprising to me that I gained two pounds at Rehoboth Beach. I kept my portions in control, but I think the quality of food was lacking. I could have made some better choices (potato pancakes were probably not the best choice), but overall, I’m not surprised or beating myself up over this.

I didn’t track my calories, I wasn’t on the computer, and I didn’t get to the gym. But, we did a good bit of walking and had a great time – and that was the point of the trip.

I ended up having the bagel with a little bit of cream cheese for breakfast on the ride down. We went to a local pizza place on the boardwalk – Grotto Pizza – for lunch. Where I had one slice of Sicilian and a tossed salad with low cal Italian dressing. Dinner we went to the upscale little restaurant – Cafe Zeus – which was across the street from our hotel. There I had a yummy cocktail – “Vicky Dees Ruby Slippers” – which was some concoction that contained pineapple and cranberry juices. I have no idea what type of alcohol was in it – but it was there. Then I had a glass of Pino Nior with dinner. My entree was crabcakes – they were almost 100% crab! – and saffron rice. Now, here’s the bad part – a slice of there award-winning Cappuccino Mocha Cheesecake for dessert. Fabulous!

The next morning is where the potato pancakes made an appearance at Sammy’s Kitchen. Lunch, the Emperor and I split a 10″ onion and black olive pizza from Louies Pizza. Dinner was a quick stop at Jimmy Johns of West Chester Pa. – not my favorite, but I thought I needed to experience it.

All in all – not too bad.
