Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…

Faithfully Fit - New Weight Loss Program

One of my very best friends, who I’ve know since my college years were talking recently about how fat we have become. She claims to be heavier than she’s ever been before. She describes the feeling as “humbling”. I hadn’t ever thought of it like that - but, it makes sense to me. I usually go right to self-loathing - which is just so productive.
Anyway, I picked up a book that caught my eye a couple of years ago and promptly forgot about it. But, when I was packing for our Puerto Rico honeymoon - I came across the book again and threw it in my bag. I started browsing it and decided that I’d ask my friend to join me in doing Faithfully Fit. We could meet each week and discuss the book and what we struggled with. Of course we’d need to weigh in each week.
So, I’ve put a link to the book on the blog and would love to have others join us in the latest weight loss venture. You can get the book at Amazon.com.

  1. […] 1. Total Transformation Test - this would have been on the new blog list, but he brought his blog to my attention on my first review… so, he’s been moved over to being a not-so-old favorite. This really is a wonderful and inspirational blog. As I’m going to be starting Faithfully Fit in one week - which is a spiritually based program - I believe I will be able to find even more motivation through Total Transformation Test. […]

  2. Congrats on your honeymoon! I admire your resolve in the daily battle of getting healthy! It’s a hard trek, but we all have to keep trying! I will check this book out.

  3. […] As I said in an earlier post - I started the book Faithfully Fit today. It’s not set up as a diet or exercise program, but more of a spiritual and motivational guide. I read the intro and skimmed the first few pages. It reminds me of Overeaters Anonymous. Where the control is handed over to a “higher power” or, for me, God. […]

  4. […] I started FatLadySingz as an online journal to help me stay on track, review diet programs that I had tried or would be trying and to connect with other fat bloggers. My initial goal was to try a different weight loss program every month. I started in January with Right Size Online Smoothies. I didn’t make it one month with that plan! It’s not that they weren’t good or didn’t work - I lost my motivation! Next, I moved on to Jenny Craig - a diet program that I’ve been very successful with in the past and I do love Jenny Craig food (very expensive, though).  Now, I’m on my next attempt to shed these 30 pounds with the aid of my friend and a book that I recently brushed the dust off - Faithfully Fit. […]

  8. Thanks, will recommend this program for my wife :)

  9. I really question just how effective these programs can be. I always recommend sticking to the basics, because that is what works. Eat well, and exercise seems to do the trick for my clients!
