I was looking back over past post at fatladysingz.com ’cause I thought I wrote a post about the ups and downs of my weight since I started this project. But, I can’t seem to find any. Those thoughts must not have ever left my head. But, here it goes… When I returned from my honeymoon - I stepped on the scale to find out that I was at the same weight that I started at. Now, I know there has definitely been weight loss over the past seven months, which means there has also been weight gain.Since the honeymoon - I recommitted myself to, well exercise and get back to dieting or at least making healthy food choices. Which I did for a time (the food choices, that is). But, we went away again, as did the healthy food - and now I’m afraid to get on the scale. I’m certain that I may have risen above the start weight and I’m scared to death to find out. What brought all of this to my attention again was, while reading the weekly weigh-in at The Incredible Shrinking Ladies - I noticed that Lady Rose was up one pound - not too bad. Then I made my way over to the summary of her weight loss - and it was very impressive!
Why can’t I stick with any diet?

Took me a long time to find my way and get on a plan I could stick with. I’d be happy to lend an ear and brainstorm a bit if you want to help work out a plan that would be right for you. For me I had to get a totally new attitude — bit by bit, some days are easier then others. You can do what ever it is you want to do in life - just a matter of finding out how to unlock the door and let it out.
Health and Happiness, Lady Rose
Thanks for listening.
I was so successful several years ago and I finally reached my goal weight - and stayed there (more or less) for a few years.
I feel as if I keep trying to recreate that success - but, it’s not happening. And I think that is part of my frustration.
I was a completely different person then. I think through so many life experiences - I finally hit “rock bottom”. I decided to give up flour and sugar; keep my calories to 1000 - 1200 calories a day; and I went to curves - religiously. It worked and although I’m sure I struggled at times - it was as if everything I had tried over the years finally clicked.
Trying to recreate that plan - seems to rigid and I haven’t attempted to completely give up flour and sugar again.
Any thoughts, advice - would be warmly appreciated.
Hi — I’m redoing Incredible Shrinking Ladies blog, and would like to invite a few great ladies to join in (post once or twice a week about weight progress, tips, etc) - linking back to your blog of course if you wanted too.
Let me know if you are interested and we can work out details.
Thanks for the invite… I would love to post on your blog. It may help me stay on track!
wonderful! I’m so excited and glad to have you join in. send me an email and we’ll get everything set up — first step is you need a free account with wordpress (don’t have to blog there) — then I email you and get you ok’d to log in.
Agree with Lady Rose’s earlier comment on sticking to a plan and being prepared to make lifestyle changes and eating habits!
Take small baby steps to weight loss for each week, each month and so on.
Good Luck.
