AMAZING Weight Loss Products!!

There are hundreds of thousands of weight loss products out there. All claiming to be AMAZING - especially at 3 AM. Only in the tiny print can you see that the “results are not typical”. I know personally that there are many people desperate to lose weight - especially if it requires very little effort. I also know that there isn’t any quick, easy or effortless way to lose weight permanently. Losing weight is hard work. It takes discipline, motivation, usually a good support system AND changing eating habits is a MUST. I admit - I have tried a few of the AMAZING weight loss programs over the years and of course, some of the more traditional weight loss programs. I’ve tried:

Weight Watchers
Nutri System
Jenny Craig
Right Size Smoothie
Herbal Life
Apple Cider Diet - I don’t remember what that was, but I just threw out a bottle of pills
Atkins Diet
Xenical
Slim Fast
Chitosan products
I’m sure there are many more - but these are the ones that come to mind.

Now, I’d love to hear what experiences others have had on any weight loss programs that they’ve tried. Please leave a comment and let me know what programs you’ve tried.

  1. I tried weight watchers and atkins - gained weight with both of these; L.A. diet - didn’t lose, but didn’t gain, Rice House Diet - lost some (used it when I was younger and it worked great - but as I got older it was still too much).

    My ex-doctor had me on diet pills for years and years - was able to keep weight stable, not thin, but not gaining. When I finally stopped those - weight packed on. Tried some other over counter stuff - slim fast, pills, etc nothing worked. Next doctor said I had a thyroid problem and I was on medication for about 5 years - felt awful, I could lose but only slowly and I’d gain it back lose a little, gain it back.
    Current doctor found out I actually did NOT have a thyroid problem - off the medication and felt alive again (hair started growing again, wasn’t falling asleep all the time etc).

    Finally just kept lowering my calories and exercise a bit — so far over a year I’ve lost over 80 lbs. It’s slow but it’s goig down. As long as I keep my calories between 800 to 1000 iI can loose - anything else I balloon up. My doctor and nutrionist both say what I do is just fine - even though folks always jump on me about it. But it works, and the doctor ok’s it - so I’m sticking with it.

  5. I’ve tried all sorts. I’ve even tried Ephedrine and some of the ‘bad for your health but make you loose weight’ pills.

    All I got was a few weeks of feeling like I was going to have a heart attack and not being able to concentrate, followed by feeling like crap weaning myself off them, and then to cap everything - putting ALL the weight back on again! Never going down that route again and I strongly suggest others don’t either. Unfortunately there’s only one way to lose weight and keep it off and that’s to change your lifestyle.

    I’m now trying Proactol AND exercising AND eating healthily - just using it when I going out for a meal or know I’m not going to be able to keep to my diet for whatever reason and it supposedly binds a percentage of the fat from whatever you’re eating.

    I’m hoping this means that I can slip up occasionally and not put 3lbs on overnight. :)
