Our dinner was wonderful at Suzanna Foo, which is located on Walnut St. between 15th and 16th in Philadelphia. We read many of the reviews that said it was a lot of hype, but not great. Most of the reviews said that the food wasn’t “focused”. I’m not sure that I require focus in my food when dining. The food was excellent.

We started with Dumpling Sampler – which is suggested for two people and it included – Pork, Chicken, Lamb, Vegetable, Mushroom and Steamed Diver Scallop Dumplings. Our waiter indicated that Dumplings were the house specialty. We also had Trio of Crab, which included – Hundred-Corner Crabcake, Jumbo Crabmeat Salad & Crab Spring Roll. I’m a huge fan of crab and this was one of the best I’ve had.

For dinner we had three entries
Crispy Jumbo Shrimp with Caramelized Citrus Sauce – Steamed Broccoli, Yukon Gold Potatoes & Coconut Sweet Rice

Braised Wild Striped Bass with Thai Curry Sauce and Coconut Sweet Rice

Kung Pao Chicken with Mushrooms, Roasted Red Peppers & Peanuts
