Losing weight, one diet at a time; one month at a time…
Day Two
So day two was not much different than day one, with the exception of going out to dinner. Breakfast, lunch and exercise were almost exactly the same. I used a different type of elliptical machine at the Y and it only said I burned 115 calories – which will not do. If I can burn 400 calories on one elliptical machine and only 115 on the other – using it the same amount of time – I can’t see any reason to ever go back to the 115 calorie machine. My mamma didn’t raise a dummy!
Anyway, we had plans to go out to dinner with some friends – but they canceled on us. I didn’t prepare anything to cook for dinner – so, we went out as planned.
We went to Bubba’s Pot Belly Stove. It’s a little log cabin style restaurant above Quakertown PA. I used to go there often with my soon to be ex-husband – and we always enjoyed it. But I hadn’t been there in about 15 years. What I remembered was that they had incredible burgers. I wanted to continue to eat healthy so I ordered one crab cake, which came with 3 grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes and the veggie of the day – green beans and peppers. It was adequate. Nothing to rave about – still better than cooking, though.
We’re still planning on going back with the friends who canceled. I think I’ll get the burger then.
That’s about it for day two.
